I saw Helmuth do the same thing. He bluffed the pot before and showed. Next hand an amateur called him down with 2nd pair. Helmuth had nothing. Helmuth went ballistic and said how can this stupid donkey call me down with 2nd pair? The other pro's at the table said well maybe because you showed your bluff the hand before.

I’m just a recreational player, but the way Nik was betting and acting-he wasn’t betting to grow the pot and win more-it was quite obvious to me that he was just betting to get the guy to fold-which would indicate that he has a weak hand. Nik didn’t look comfortable at any moment in the hand.

Soon as he said that he's been bluffing all night and mathmatically he has to have it one time was a last ditch subliminal effort to get him to fold since Nick knows his image well enough that if someone tanks long enough vs him it favors a call and they are just trying to justify following through with the call. This is also followed by the uncomfortable physical tell with putting his hoodie front pockets for "comfort"

I know it's an unwritten rule not to look at other people's hands, but if I can see your hand, I'll tell you to protect your cards, and that I can see your hand. I look at people's cards for tells, not to actually see the hand. If you can't protect your cards, don't play poker.
