Funny story.. back in the day like 09-10ish the little local band I played in did that to a just getting kinda big Attila.. it was in Claremore Oklahoma.. my band was a Drop B southern 2step deathcoreish band and we opened the night, only 15-20 people showed up to the show period, but right as our intro ended and we went into the Duh duh duh--- duh duh--- duh duh duh chugchugchugchug at the start of our song some impressively athletic African American gentleman ran up to the stage and did some parkour-ass Caiopera-ass backflip off the stage into the hardcore dance pit and it gave us an insane rush of confidence and we legit hit every note that set which never happened cuz as a band I basically wrote music and taught the guys to play it bass and rhythm guitar being total beginners at the bands inception, and we only practiced like twice a month. Anyways the night goes on, the other 2 locals play we smoke a lil weed with Fronz and their drummer, give them 20 bucks to get us some tacos..(which they only gave us 4 of assholes) then they go on stage and cuz we still didn't have our due tacos us angsty teenagers were out front smoking cigarettes.. about 3/4 of the crowd either left or hung out with us leaving like 2 people and the promoter bobbing their head to soda in the water cup. Haha

@@RQ.140 one of my old bands did that to a for all those sleeping show in NC in 2012 we were by FAR the heaviest act on that bill (I was the only drummer using a blast beat or double bass over 200bpm that show and our guitarists were using sweeps and pick scrapes) as the opener and got the show going in strides. It died down alot after we were done as far as crowds being into it. I will say that while they were a gimmick band at the time the band skip the foreplay (3rd billed) had a ridiculous live show and stage presence and it was still a crazy show altogether but once abandon all ships (the headliner for that tour) went on most people were leaving.

@@RQ.140 also I should mention the next act after us was palisades and there wasnt a whole lot of crowd engagement even though they killed it, they just didnt match the intensity we had since it was before they released outcasts and were all clean vocals. It's hard to follow a strictly screamed vocals style with cleans and stand out above them (although If they had jones from killswitch they could've)
