@Thora Friganza People like Wallenda dont feel like they're really living unless they're doing something most of us would consider extreme. I admire his bravery and strong mindset to accomplish such feats that very few would even think of attempting. Evel Knievel was the same way.

99.9% of people don't understand why someone would put themselves in that situation (Myself included). But 0.01% of people will say they only feel alive when they're on the wire.

When strong winds swept through the canyon, causing the steel cable to sway, he would pause and crouch down. Then, he would stand up again, regain his balance, and thank God for "calming the steel cable." In the documentary about his walk across the Grand Canyon, every step he took on the steel cable was a testament to everyone watching at that moment and in the future, showing how he relied on the power of Jesus Christ.

As you can see he was *really* not comfortable with this particular walk-apparently a lot of dust had gathered on the wire and made it a lot more slippery.

From what I’ve read, wearing the harness has not been his choice. The one exception is the walk he did with Lijana after her recovery from the 8 person fall. That time he did it because he wanted his sister to be safe.

That would have been it. He is not wearing a harness of any kind. His grandfather died in 1978 in Puerto Rico entertaining children who could not afford the show. The wind got him.

​@@smooshiebear80the wind speed change he.didnt anticipate which is why the loose wire was a factor, he already lost balance from the wind. He had no idea how wind off the ocean would be funneled between where he was halfway, but the loose cable.made it even more of an issue to balance as well. But it's still playing stupid games and winning stupid prizes
