I've never even considered that a darce could be hit from this angle. It really feels like you can land a darce from anywhere if you're creative enough about it- awesome video!

We have a purple belt that rolls through that's actually a black belt at lucha whatever. Dude is like a darce blackhole. You do ANYTHING and he somehow sucks you into a darce choke and there is no escape. I am also a purple belt but he mercs me as there are levels and as stated, he's pretty much a black belt.

@@golddee2040 Hearing stories about people who are comfortable with the mechanics of the darce makes me want to get good at it so bad lol I can hit it pretty well from like one position (front headlock), but I'm definitely going to challenge myself to get creative about it.

The Darce has been my favorite sub for 15 years and I love that you guys are showing all the sweet variations. I rolled for 6 months and told everyone that I would only use the darce at the start of every roll. Thanks boys for continuing to demonstrate how effective the Darce choke is, from almost every position.

Thanks for this masterclass gentlemen ! I really Hope if possible that you make a video with a variation of the darce chocke for fighters with short arms because it is sometimes complicated to place this technique when you have little reach. Thanks again for the contents! Peace 🔥

Great question! Would be nice to see too but I can refer you to Mr Makhachev his submission of Dustin Porier in the UFC. He did a variation that looked suitable for shorter arms. He didn’t lock his hand on his bicep but locked it on his forearm. Someone who broke down the fight noticed it and made a YT of it.

@ Thanks im going to go Watch the fight again. It looks clever. Makachev has always been very inspired by the chokes!

I just watched the finish again, what I had forgotten this amazing wrestling sequence before arriving at the finish you're right. It puts all the pressure from this grip on the forearm. I thought that the grip at this level was just used to get to the next step of transition where you slide your hand to grab the biceps and therefore activate total compression Only at that moment . I’m going to try this variation!

@ Hahaha! It was a picture of beauty! Yeah, I don’t really have to use this because I have long arms. It would come in handy though for people with large necks and wide bulky shoulders. The short bulky guys, so to say. Haha! I have to practice this one too.

I have this sneaking suspicion that Tye and Kade could allow a training partner to get them in a fully locked, mounted triangle, with an armbar and wristlock both near the breaking point, and they would be thinking, “Ya know, I see a D’arce choke from here.”
