Hello. From pakistan here. If you pull your rear (posterior) deltoid muscles on your upper back such that they almost start meeting at full bow stretch, it will automatically help you keep both shoulders in line and would also save you potentially from shoulder and arm muscle injuries if you are a beginner. I guess you can give that a try...

Hi Bobby. Trying to do what you are saying. Hope I am using the correct muscles. Could do with a coach to actually touch where it is to be sure. Thanks for the advice.

Hi! I live in Brazil and I practice Barebow... I really enjoyed your video and it helped me choose this brand and model of limbs in 68" 34 lbs, which are coming for delivery... I would like to know (because you didn't put it in the comments) the following: A) What is the power of the limbs (38lbs, ok?) B) What type of string and how many strands does it have C) what arrow do you use (brand, model, tip weight and length) Another thing... did you happen to measure the power of the limbs is what you really pull? I say this because I read on an archery forum that these limbs deliver 2 pounds less than the actual value that is marked on them. Thank you very much for your help and videos... Congratulations!
@brookvalleylife724

Hi Christian. Thanks for watching. So to answer your questions: A. They are 38lbs medium length limbs, and they do actually draw to 38lbs at 28". Mine are set a little lower so I pull 38lbs at 29" B. String is BCY 8125, 18 strand. Great string that I made myself and pre-stretched to 300lbs for 24hrs before serving. C. Arrows are Skylon Paragon, and Skylon Performa. Both 3.2 ID (same as ace/X10 but not barreled) 140 grain points. I think they are around 29.5" in length. As I said above, the limbs give their actual draw weight at 28". Also, as I said in the video, they are extremely quiet when shot. Really surprised me. I am saving up for the N3 limbs, which are supposed to be like my Uukha HX10EVO2. Have fun when your new limbs arrive.

@@brookvalleylife724 Hello! I want to thank you for your video review again! I received the pair of Nika C1 limbs (68" 34#) and am using it with my Akusta Tenbris 25" riser. Really they are soft, quiet in the shots and fast! I am having many moments of fun and pleasure for sure! I'm very surprised! The set of these blades with the Akusta Tenbris Riser proved to be very fast - with them I am using a 16 strand Dyneema rope - 9" Brace height. I am also using ACCMOS Predator Arrows, cut to 28", Spine 700, Bohning ICE type Vanes and 120gn tips. I am focused on training 18m indoor/outdoor distances and the IFAA Flint modality. Once in a while I'm shooting at 30m and 50m. Hence the pleasure is doubled! My thanks again... Hugs and success!

@@brookvalleylife724I have an Akusta 19" all wood ILF Riser. I didn't buy the Bear riser due to alot of people saying that they had a problem with the risers delaminated. The Akusta riser with the N3's looks like a match made in heaven. The limbs shoot like a dream. With these limbs my 400 spine bare shafts r hitting 90 degrees to the target. I'm going to bottom out my bolts now when I break-in my other identical D97 Flemish. I would say with my draw that I will be @ 52 lbs. & quiet as a church mouse. Thanks for the videos & take care.

Cheers! I just ordered the Topoint Carbon foams.. do you have any info on who makes or comparable brands? just curious. I'll have a Unison *same color as yours:) 25 riser set up for Bare Bow:)
@brookvalleylife724
@brookvalleylife724 Жыл бұрын
Topoint make their own and also manufacture for other brands as well (Like Junxing). I would say have a look at the WNS foam limbs for a comparison. What I would say is don't over bow (Too high a draw weight) yourself when starting off. Have a good riser and cheap limbs as when you progress you keep the riser but change the draw weight of the limbs and when you get to where you want, then buy a set of really good limbs.

@@brookvalleylife724 I've been shooting a 35 that pulls 30 on my fingers with my 26 1/2 draw. I'm very fit and do exercises every day and shoot 150-200 arrows a day comfort with no pains...not bad for an old guy :) my Black Hunter 60 recurve I've been using had a catastophic failure today on the upper limb and scared the bejesus outta me! I had just replaced the string with a fast flight? it was correct size for the bow the brace height was perfectly set up... I'm a bit traumatized to be completely honest. My Unison gets here Monday with the Carbon foams. I ordered same string for it. Fast flight 12 strand. Do you thing that is a good string choice since we have same riser and carbon limbs... i'm a bit freaked out... ('m using cheap carbon arrows. @@WardStroud I have had a limb pop out of a pocket at full draw before. My own fault for not checking and yep, I scared the crap out of myself. Best thing is to "jump back on the horse" again as soon as possible. The string is perfect for your bow, material wise. Fast flight is a good string. I use 8125 as it has less stretch. I use 18 strand string. 12 strand will make it faster but is still ok. Arrows I would look at 700 spine as 600 may well be too stiff. Skylon are very good and so are Pandarus. Both great price. If you can't get them, I would say check out Victory arrows, either the V-force or VAP. Look at the RED (Gamer I think). Check your draw length and get them cut (or cut yourself with a dremel ). Also make sure the nocks you use fit correctly on your string as that can cause a "dry fire" situation. Hope this helps.

These limbs are not like uukha limbs. Uukha limbs have carbon on the sides of the limbs. Nika is just a molded fiberglass limb with a carbon weave laminated skin glued on the belly and back of the limb. I had these limbs and could see the glue lines on the edges. My upper limb had a bad twist out of the box made them useless. I sent them back and was very hard to get my money back. Their customer service was terrible. Uukha limbs have a great warranty.. Happy for you that you got a good pair of limbs!!!
@brookvalleylife724

Yes they are not like my Uukha limbs but they are incredibly quiet. Quieter than my uukhas and hoyts. They are also very smooth to draw, and for a beginner they are a good cheap limb that should last a while. Pity you got a twisted limb, and had a bad experience with Nika. Again either you or me were unlucky or lucky as I have had no issues with the company and am also looking at the N3s. I have no glue line or join on mine either and look exactly like my uukha HX10 Evo2 limbs.

Sorry I should of mentioned mine were the Nika n3 progress deep hook limbs. The limbs were straight at static rest with the string on also looked good but for the feel of the carbon weave at the side I could feel. When at full draw the limb bent to one side as there seem to be a weak point with the molding process. It was so bad at the bend I felt was not safe at all to shoot. I bought the limbs off of AliExpress but through Nika archery. I even asked Nika for no decals on the limbs. When I opened the box there was no decals also the limbs looked very nice. It was very hard and stressful to get my money back. Nika gave me a run around . Nika gave me a wrong address and e mail to contact for return. Would not respond back to me through AliExpress.When e mailing Nika archery or Elong archery, the co workers no nothing of the product. I was not happy at all with customer service. I would have loved to shoot these limbs and gave a good review, but I was not treated very well and I felt I was lied to..I never gave up and after two months I got my money back

@@brookvalleylife724 I'll probably end up with the comparison of N3 vs gillo's new Q7 at 42lbs. Depending on how much i like the nika's i might end up getting 46 or 48 lbs aswell. If they're anything like the uukha's they should be the obvious choice since i don't pull through the clicker but push instead (pretty much like michele frangilli does). Depending on how well training goes i might sign up for the nationals, will see. I started recurve as a joke since i'm a barebow archer really.

What kind of speeds did you get? Also did you try your bare shaft tune to see if comparable to your other limbs. Bare shaft stiff or weak with comparable poundage to your other limbs?

@brookvalleylife724 Жыл бұрын
Hi Brad. So I have shot these through my chrono, and they are not as fast as my Uukha limbs at the same poundage, but they are as fast as my Hoyt G3 limbs at the same poundage. What I also found, was that they re incredibly quiet when shot. Very little vibration and slightly smoother to draw than the G3. Bare shafts, will depend on your arrow choice. I have shot Victory VAP and they shot stiff, where my Skylon shoot about perfect.
