Starrcade 94 & 97 look the best to me especially 97 bring back good memories of playing WCW/nWo Revenge those were the days.

gamer dude those are my favorites as well!

I personally like the 1997 one because I grew up playing WCW/NWO Revenge & that was the stage used for that game.

That's what I was going to say aswell, I've probably watched it 30 times on the network and also had it on VHS when I was a kid, I can almost quote the commentary word for word lol.
@johndonisi85267 жыл бұрын
NeckbeardOutlaw I also had it on VHS too. I don't know where it is though.

1997 Starrcade was hands down the best year ever.. it was dark, moody and was set for the biggest main event in WCW history (even though it ended poorly) 97 was the best.. as the years went on..u can see the downfall of WCW.. from 17,000 in 1997 to 6200 in 2000..very sad
@NikateeN7 жыл бұрын
Altuan McGarvin definitely sad... I knew it was bad but when making these videos, it reminds me of just how had it was. In the final year they were having trouble just giving away tickets.

I liked the 94-95 arenas, actually. I liked the color scheme they used. I liked 97 too, like everyone else : p I always kinda preferred the 98 arena, though. I like warm colors for the main PPV. I always thought the 98 arena looked the most "grand" I guess : p
@NikateeN7 жыл бұрын
Moogi Beans it's funny because as much I love '97 and '98, I'd have to say 1994 is my favorite. I like the screen setup, and the cheesy 90s marble effect behind the logo in addition to the 90s color scheme.

Love these videos of yours. I don't have anything to do with wrestling anymore (and haven't for about 10 years) so it's nice to go back and look at the finer details. To me an arena can make or break an event.

I love the idea of doing a video on the weekly shows, but it doesnt seem like you could really get that much out of them : p I mean youd get more with WWE I guess, but still seems like theyd be kinda short : p
@NikateeN7 жыл бұрын
Moogi Beans the RAW Arena Showcase I'm currently working on is actually quite the project, as the show has seen many subtle changes throughout the decades, whether it be minor ring apron altercations, or graphics packages. Should be a lengthy episode!

I remember the old NWA/WCW Days. I grew up in GA and Jim Crockett Promotions was the end all be all there.
@ennbee20515 жыл бұрын
Has anyone else seen Starrcade 90? The shit that went wrong in that event is so funny. Let's start with the wonky WCW sign at the top of the ramp. How about Rocco Rock diving head first out of the ring onto Rick Steiner, and Steiner having to catch him, and laughing about it. Stan Hansen blatantly and on camera telling Lex Luger to 'kick him in the head', the first time I heard wrestlers communicating spots to each other. Stan Hansen, legitimately whipping the referee at the end of the 'bout, and the ref riving in pain on the floor. I could go on but, I recommend watching it for a laugh. You got the whole Black Scorpion crap at the end to.

You wouldn't find it offensive if I made some modernized corrections on your videos, would you? To this video, I can't contribute much information due to the little-to-no "mistakes," but as for some of the items used for the stages across multiple videos of yours, I know the exact terminology for. Not all of them, and I am aware that it's okay if people use different terms. When it comes to this terminology, obviously, one can call stuff whatever they want, but what I'm offering is the use of an updated terminology. Other than all of this, I am glad that you make these videos. I thought I was the only major wrestling stage fanatic! :D

you called the AWA apron the "green NWA logo"
@NikateeN7 жыл бұрын
ChiGuy251 AWA was never associated with Jim Crockett Promotions or WCW... that was in fact the NWA logo on the ring banners, it was used quite frequently back then. The "N" does look like an "A" though. Google it to see a bigger, more clear image.
