I think the reason for the air max 90 being so popular is the fact it looks like a trainer. All new releases of trainers seem to be looking more like hovercrafts or weird semi melted moonboots, and it's rediculous. The air max 90 is simple. Classic and stylish without weird little flaps or wings coming off of them. That's why they're so appealing in my opinion.

i think this is what the 270 was trying to be. the 270s always wear out and it gets sooooo uncomfortable in the front of the toe because all the air runs out and it doesn’t have a base after and the 270 reacts are a much better improvement. the 2090’s look sooo much better and there’s actual padding in the front of the shoe i can’t wait to see the next colorways!

If dirt gets under the windbreaker the shoe is wearing, the dri-fit sleeve is not easy to clean- stitching gives out really quick. Very easy to roll your ankle in...

Nice review. Initially I really liked the look. To me very futuristic in design and the colors chosen. Very 2090, maybe. However, I don't like how Nike has been enlarging the heel of many of their shoes which causes shoe to look a full size bigger in my opinion.

Cool vid. Air Max is great but it has gotten too gimmicky in recent years. What direction do they need to go in? Bigger bubbles? More stability? Lighter weight? The 270 is a redo of the 93. This one is a modern take of the 90. The 720 is just an exaggerated, bulky shoe. I think its time for new tooling using a total air bubble similar to the vapormax but throwing in thin layers of proprietary foam eg. react, renew, cushion, etc. Make it look cool, make it perform, make it a classic.
