Hi Seth, it's been a couple years since the Air Max 270 came out on the market for an average $150....I was very fortunate to find not one...but two pairs of Nike Air Max 270 reacts in great condition at a couple of Goodwill Stores for under $20 each. They are indeed both comfortable, kinda has that bouncy/squishy feel on the feet and style-wise I prefer them over the Air Max 270.

After 2 years of owning a pair all I have to say is that they are my favorite beater/daily shoes. They are very comfortable and the only negative thing that I have to say is that they are very difficult to clean which is a bummer because i love these shoes

Seth, you got this review right on the nose. I just got mine today and had similar thoughts on it. Awkward was the word I used to describe the transition from the firmness of the airmax heel bubble to the front of the super soft react cushion. Love the idea better than the actual result. Also, I really like the design and color this silo offers but looking at and touching the materials in hand was a huge letdown for me. The materials did feel really cheap to me and that base layer would crinkle up and it was just a bad look. Anyway, bottom line, I’m going to return these and pick up the React Presto instead. Dig the reviews, keep doing what you do. ✌🏼

The idea of the "cheap" materials used is to give a retro aspect to the upper which contrasts nicely with the latest tech in the sole. The original Air Max 180's from the early 90s used similar materials for the upper.

At first when I bought these I didn’t like the feel of it on foot. While the forefoot feels super soft and spongy (probably the softest form of react that I’ve ever felt) the heel area feels very firm but after months of usage I feel like I either got used to it or it actually breaks in because I don’t feel as much of that weird feeling anymore. I find these shoes now to be super comfortable though I find the opening of the shoe a bit too big and the way the lacing is set up you don’t get much secure lol structure around the ankle so you end up having all this room around your ankle and I would never recommend it for any sort of sports as you will most definitely roll ur ankle in this. I’d rate this shoe an 8/10

just bought these today,because I love the colors. I had to get a size bigger,because stores NEVER have my size. I didn't take time to fully inspect them,before buying,so when I got home I noticed the flimsy upper material,and the extra room in the heel.when I tie them it makes the fabric crease awkwardly. Probably due to the extra space from being a size bigger. Anyway, I'll just keep em because its a cute colorway and I wont tie them.

my review after 1 year of purchase: material is easy to clean and also washmachine-proof! but ofc in a bag and low temperature. and let dry in the room. basically no creeses. they are really light. the material is special and loses maybe some color, but you can dye it. if you are a nerd you will do that. and after all, they are the most comforable shoes i have.

how do you clean them?

@@WillSimoni with a white cloth. a normal dishwashing cloth. i use classic handsoap with no additives or smells. and dip the cloth in water and put a bit of soap on it. then i clean the shoe step by step in a circular movement. takes a while but they will be like new afterwards. if the shoes are really dirty, you can leave the shoe in water with some soap. the waschinmachine will do the rest.
