Decided to watch some of your older reviews. These were one of my favorite back in the day.....I played my pair to death! They did have a forefoot air unit.....not zoom.

The originals did not have any air in the forefoot, just the visible air in the heel. (I was a Foot Locker manager in '94 when it released). They were a defect nightmare with the toe coming unglued on a lot of pairs.

I think the first shoe to feature zoom air pockets was the air penny 2, I recalled my dad bought them for me for ma bday, and they come with a lil flyer explaining how the new features of the zoom air work in the shoe...

Yes I too went to go pick these up to hoop in and cause I love the look from my childhood. But like you said the upper was just so...different (stiff). So I ended up getting the Nike Revs( Kyrie Irving). All Black/Silver. Just couldn't find the Cavs color way and I live in Cleveland.

These came our 94/95 air zoom didn't come out till 1996 and these didn't have air in the forefoot area just the heel I know cause I had these back in high school

I was about to buy this but when I tried it Nightwing is correct, it's so stiff. Hard as plastic and it's going to be hard to play wearing these. I even asked the Nike sales guy and he said it's more of a casual shoes rather than for playing. I was disappointed. So I ended up with Kamikaze 1 which is more comfortable.

I had the OGs in 94 and I just got the retros a few days ago. The nubuck on the OGs was awful material. Very cheap and it broke down very quickly. Especially the toe box area. At first I didn't like the look of the retro version. But once I got them bitches on feet it was a no brainer. The leather on these retros looks to be much more durable and classy IMO.
