It's weird how they general released these, but they limited the OG black and whites, and so the red ones are going on sale now, and the black/whites basically sold out the instant they were available. I tried to get a pair of the black/whites, but it was almost like they were never even available in my size the begin with. I literally refreshed at the time of release and size 13 was already gone. So that was a bummer, considering how long I was hyped to get them, leading up to the release. Same deal with OG black/white/blue Penny Air Max 1. Those are two shoes I've wanted since I was in grade school and I've somehow managed to miss out on every retro. This was the first time I actually had money and was ready to buy them, but the stock was so limited. But then with this red colorway that people find polarizing, they make them a general release. I actually really wanted these, too. Clippers were my favorite team growing up, and Brent Barry was my favorite player. But I feel like the white upper area looks super thin and flimsy. Even the carve out for the red balls, looks very rough and unpolished. Even the black/whites had bumps around the sole. I noticed Nike has cheaped out even more, since the last retro, which is weird, since the the vast majority of people interested in these are old people like myself who want them for sentimental value if Nike doesn't cut corners and actually does justice to them.
