Namely Kick Genius, half of Sole Brothers, Luvmykicks etc. that I used to watch are not around much anymore, I have seen some Weartesters' reviewers have come and gone over the years as well. Also one thing I love about this channel is the quality of content that keeps going up and up over the years! Out of lots of the KZbin channels I watched (not just sneakers/basketball related), only a few that are able to keep the quality of their content the same (which is fine but sad to see) or better, a lot of them has lost their magic. It's kinda like seeing friends that you grew up with grow apart from each other, I'm very grateful to still have Weartesters/Nightwing around and killing it!

I was in middle school when these dropped and first getting into shoes and these were absolutely my grail, a lot of new age sneaker heads were not around for Nike’s golden basketball era, and it was truly one of the best shoe eras for me

Lebron 10 cutting jades were the shoes that got me into sneakers in middle school. My friend got a pair of lava lebron 10s and it spurred me to pay attention to other colorways, saw em and never looked back. Copped a pair in college and just copped area 72s a couple of days ago. The interior print is an homage to Ricardo tisci who was involved with the merch of the watch the thrown tour. The birds of paradise print that you see on the interior of the shoe and laces were used in the ready to wear men's collection of givenchy when Ricardo served his tenure in the 2000s. Real sneakerheads do want these colorways to GR. The jerks who think sneakers are a way to prove that you're better than someone or have more money than others hate this type of thing. I can't stand people not being able to get a model, colorway of their favorite team, player, memorable game, moment or whatever. These things are supposed to be fun for everyone. Sneakers are not status symbols or tools to prop yourself up on a pedestal. I say release every single "rare" model/colorway for all!

Man I remember the lebron 8 got me into the sneaker game, and I remember seeing your video of the performance review. I'm 26 which I know seems young or old to some people but ive come to love sneakers when I was just a freshman in high school. I would've never thought nike would retro the south beaches, WTT 9s, even the Fairfax 7s. its crazy how ,much time has gone by since then. its also nitrating seeing the resellers or collectors back then who had all the exclusive P.E's back then now getting upset that nike is devaluing their collection by making these sought after hoes us general public couldn't get our hands on. Im a teacher now its its interesting seeing the kids now in high school ask me about sneakers and only know about raves Scott colas, or off-white, or yeezys. I find myself teaching shoe history sometimes and its fun but I'm also like man it feels like theirs such a disconnect now between youth and older heads in the sneaker game. I just wonder sometimes was it like that when I was getting into sneakers. to this day ill still take the bred lebron 8 color way over the south beach, I'm still kinda upset they didn't retro that color way just the hype color ways, bit who knows only tie will tell. Anyway I feel I went on a tangent 😂 but just know you are my fav and most reliable KZbin especially when comes to performance reviews, and I hope you still run the KZbin and sneaker channel game for more decades to come (until you knees give out 😂) best of luck and always keep up that good work 💪🏽

I think the switch to #6 was so that AD could wear #23 after the trade. Nike wasn’t cool with Lebron switching numbers so soon after joining lakers so the process was delayed. Now after winning the ring I think AD rather continue to cement his legacy as a laker as #3 but I am just speculating.
