Manufacturing shoes in America which is why they have been known to use sweatshops, underpay, and abuse workers in third world countries. Cool to see exposure for groups like this. I hope the shoe sells a ton and Nike pay them generously. I do sometimes find the language around inclusivity a bit disingenuous though. Discussion of representation often feels hollow and falls back on a series of soundbites. Can you be Nike’s first black female collaborators whilst also being gender non-confirming? And is ‘total inclusivity’ even an achievable goal? Surely the real goal here is greater representation for POC?

Cough cough* Fro community says it all it's just victims not talent even adidas does it not as drastic tho this was just a slap in the face pushing a agenda that isn't popular and for that reason exactly kids start skating At a young age so sexual identity or sexual preferences is completely wrong to push for a skateboard shoe that again is mostly going to be kids and teens. only so many keep pushing into middle age and beyond.
@uncomfortablynumb98002 жыл бұрын
They won’t be paid shit, they get a few pairs of the shoe. At the cost of everyone seeing they are poser and eventually they’ll fall off because none of them possess any talent or skill on a board, and want to be included for their skin colour, gender and sexual orientation. None of which are accomplishments, skills or otherwise. Shame on fro skate, y’all are ruining skateboarding.
@djmon19872 жыл бұрын
@@uncomfortablynumb9800 'ruining skateboarding' is such a cliche that There Skateboards just named their last video that. You might not like 'Fro, fine, but all the aspects of skateboarding you like still exist and are out there for you to engage with. Instead, you've come on to a video of skating you actively dislike just to spot some reactionary drivel. There is nothing wrong with skateboarding actively being more inclusive. If videos like this help keep POC or LGBT+ skating, that's a good thing. Videos like this aren't really meant for you.
@djmon19872 жыл бұрын
@@jackminehard This video did not 'push' anything sexual. One woman revealed she was queer, that's it. Young people are allowed to know what that word means. People don't grow up in a bubble and they are allowed to learn about different sexual identities before becoming an adult. That is healthy.

@@djmon1987 Must be nice, inside your delusion. Affirmative action for groups who actively disallow anyone who isn’t black, female, trans, queer, Is a GIANT step in the wrong direction FOR ALL SKATERS. If you can’t understand or handle that, you probably shouldn’t leave your mothers basement. “There skateboards” is one of the worst things to ever come into the skateboard world. Even though this woke outlook on skateboarding isn't my thing, it's still better than these kids being on drugs, getting pregnant & committing crimes. These kids need safe zones for skate parks when my generation skating in the late 80's had zero skate parks, zero support & were outcasts of society constantly harassed by cops regardless of race. We didn't care about identity politics. If you skated you were in. Now that skating is a cool kids thing & you got Rhianna wearing Thrasher shirts, trendy social justice stuff is seeping into skating. This group talks of inclusion but unknowingly promotes separation by saying their group is for a specific skin tone & sexual orientation. They say they skate with everyone but it doesn't seem like everyone can be a member of the group. Wish these kids the best though. They can't comprehend they're being brainwashed into woke victim mentality. Especially when they're being rewarded for it.
@BlimpCityFeeder2 жыл бұрын
Why did drugs and crimes enter your mindset? Did you just hear Chicago see dark skin and went with what you were programmed to think? Maybe they didn’t get love at the skate park, so this is a stamp on their creativity, individuality while not hating?

@@BlimpCityFeeder I'm black😂You're the one that brought color into it. Are you racist? Drugs, crime & pregnancies affect kids of all walks of life & social status. I dont give a shit what any grown up as adults choose to do behind closed doors between consenting adults #1, cause thats nobodies business except those adults but i dont appreciate whoevers idea it was to make these 2 black woman the face of some movement for trans people, i could see if they were but the fact they not makes me think they're attempting to put the fight of oppression of black people and trans people in the same category which are 2 completely different stuggles of their own. As a black person though its a little different cause my the color of my skin is not something i chose. Trans on the other hand is the complete opposite, where that literally is a choice a person is making to switch their gender and the 2 i just feel should be left to fight for their rights in their own seperate lanes. Hopefully i'm not overreacting but im just calling like i see it, i really hope im wrong though.
