over the past say 10 years of me playing football, I've spent probably 6 seasons in these Tiempos, (mine, then my cousins old ones for size). I absolutely love them, any other boot i've worn (mercurials for example), felt like having one of those training cones on my feet, by the end of the game, controlling and striking the ball felt horrible, even painful if It had been a bad game. Now they're finally dead, the sole is half dirt and is disconnecting from the boot. They've served me well. Looking for new boots led me to this video, thank you.

why are the toe boxes on boots getting smaller and smaller? I used to work in snowboard shop and having a wide toe box was a main selling point, since a wider toe box allowed your toes to spread, which gives you better balance. I don't think I have a weird shaped foot, but sometimes when I try new boots (I buy a lot to collect) I'm like, who's toes are shaped this way? On a side note, every time I see this color way, I think of wearing a tux. I can't wait for the crimson colored ones.

I totally agree the toe box area is getting smaller... I still having a hard time to really break in at the toe box and have to wet the boots to feel more comfortable despite wearing it for more than 5 full matches..

I personally like it much more when the toe box area is smaller (=tighter), because to me, it feels like I'm gaining control. I don't like it when I'm "swimming" around in my soccer cleats. The only thing I'm worried about is that the area behind the toe box (how do you call that?), so where you see the Nike swoosh, gets wider. But that's perhaps only because I seem to have narrow feet...

Maybe if you slapped a pair of white laces on them but I'm just not feeling this color way...the white looks not misplaced but it just disrupts the look of the nice shiny black leather in my opinion. There's just not enough of the white if they're going to have any on it at all

Tien Thai Any color really. They're black and white, so all of the colors will look good. Neon yellow would look great if you want something bright.

hey SR4U, I've seen some guys wearing nike boots which look exactly like the white and blue Tiempo V, except they have an extra blue stripe which runs around the bottom of the heel which almost looks like it could be a heel block. I cannot find out what they're called, can you help me out? thanks heaps!

+Ron Weasley They should. I had to go up a half a size to get the right fit for me. I have somewhat flat feet so they appear wider. They feel great. I would suggest trying some on in person. I went to a shop and tried on almost all of the cleats in my size and left with these. They just felt the best for my feet. A close second was the nike vapor x, but I was not a fan of the no tongue design

Hi Josh, I’m planning to get another pair of these boots. But when I put on my old pair size 8US, I found that the knuckle of my pinky toe and the pinky toe itself go over/protrude out the soleplate which is noticeable when running and turning (because of my wide feet). My big toe reaches the stitching that goes around the top of the shoe so Ive got like half a thumb of space. So my question is whether or not I should go up half a size, or stay in the 8US. Thanks
