I'm impressed that you are able to juggle work, family, school, and running, while still putting out so much content on KZbin/Instagram/web site. Your wife must be amazing, too. Nike seems to have pretty solid outsoles on their shoes. I'd add Puma as having fantastic road to trail outsoles.

Charli is the best - she holds it down! And I am looking forward to trying out the velocity nitro 3 in January ... that and the SL2 are top of my new daily trainer list

It's a toss up between my Vomero 17 and Brooks Ghost Max as my favorite everyday runner. The Ghost Max rocker and cushion feels so great, but that Zoomx in the Vomero is just so nice. I can't really choose and that's a good thing!
@Dramatello7 ай бұрын
As someone who came from the Pegasus (currently Peg 39) - DO NOT under estimate how cushiony these are. For me the cushion was way too much and it made me work much harder with every stride. The fit was so perfect on my leg I wanted to like these so much... but ended up sending them back because my legs would hurt and the shoe did not "disappear" like the Pegasus. Guess you don't ever switch up a good thing. I will be either getting the Peg 40 or the 41 when it's out.

It should be even better than my Structure 25, which I love with passion, and it is fighting head to head with my invincible 3 . I loved Cushlon 3.0. It is super comfortable, and I did not understand all the fuss of people saying bad things about it ...
@supwell Жыл бұрын
The Cushlon foam with ZoomX is great! It's an awesome training set up. The only negative to the Cushlon is it's not super lightweight but I don't mind since it isn't a speed shoe

The Vomero feels more fun to run and faster than the Structure. But it rolls outward more, so if you underpronate the Structure is the better choice. I noticed that on the wear of the shoe and on motion analysis. Also the Pegasus is better if you underpronate.
@Richard-lx3xk3 ай бұрын
The structure 25 is a shoe for overpronation. Have you tried the vomero and do you think it’s similar?
@MiracleWarriors3 ай бұрын
@@Richard-lx3xk i still got my Vomero 17 and don't have the Structure 25 anymore. For a neutral shoes, the Vomero is almost as stable as the Structure 25 ! But I prefer the Structure because it is wider and more room in the toebox as well. The Vomero is not much faster then the Structure 25 and it works better in the winter or get a half size up, while the Structure 25 is better ventilated for summer because it has a wide platform and a more opened upper. Both have guardrails to guide the foot when running it walking and if you don't overpronate, you will not even notice the guardrails of the Structure. Many Nike's runners like the Structure 25 over the Vomero or Invincible for the relaxing and long runs. Jakob Ingebrigtsen is a fan of the Structure 25 as well. I love all the high cushioning from Nike, including the Infinity Run 4, but my favorite is the Structure 25 ( every day runs at low to moderate speed) and followed by the Invincible 3 ( amazing for faster longer runs). You can't go wrong with either the Vomero or the Structure in 2024.

Really enjoying your reviews. How does the Vomero 17 compare to the Puma Magnify Nitro 2?
@supwell10 ай бұрын
thanks matt! vomero 17 is going to have a bit of a softer feel and more flexible forefoot than the magnify nitro 2. vomero rides like more of a daily trainer while the magnify nitro will feel taller and more like a traditional max cushioned shoe, though the midsole is a touch firmer than other max stack shoes like the 1080 and nimbus

Any substitute or alternative of Vomero 17?

Have you tried the structure 25? And if so, what do you think about the stability of both of those shoes?
@supwell3 ай бұрын
Yes those are my two favorite Nike shoes! Structure has a more supportive heel that really locks you down but the Vomero stability is solid as well. Underfoot the ride experience of the Vomero is softer and the structure is a little firmer but still has good pep. Vomero has the same foam as structure but with a softer top layer

Which one would you pick triumph 20,21 vs vomero 17?
@supwell10 ай бұрын
triumph 20/21 feels cushioned and bouncier - vomero has more flexibility and a bit more of a traditional running shoe feel. i'd go for the triumph if you want something for longer miles and the vomero if you want something for shorter everyday runs that's a bit better for pace pickups. neither are great for super fast running but the vomero is a little more nimble. triumph can do marathon pace okay occasionally but i wouldn't use it for anything faster. both are super durable and can be found on sale right now. vomero $95 if you use code HEART on nike.com www.nike.com/t/vomero-17-mens-road-running-shoes-ckR70K/FB1309-300 and triumph is $80 at marshalls www.marshalls.com/us/store/jump/product/shoes-shoes-men-s-shoes-sneakers/Men%27s-Triumph-20-Cushioned-Running-Sneakers/4000214449?colorId=NS4155763&pos=1:13&N=2622436488

Did you find you could pick up the pace in these? I'm tempted to get as a 'holiday shoe' but want to be able to run different paces
@supwell7 ай бұрын
Yeah it's decently versatile. If you want something for traveling and picking up pace on treadmill or cruising around town at a faster clip then they're solid. Definitely not my first choice for a track day shoe but as a do it all travel shoe you'll be set

How does this compare to 1080v13? Which do you prefer?
@supwell6 ай бұрын
1080 is much softer all around and more cushioned in forefoot. It's more of a true relaxed/recovery shoe and Vomero is more of that durable daily trainer but with a soft peppy feel. 1080 for super slow mileage only and Vomero if you want something a little more versatile. Also Vomero is a better deal - you can find for under $100 on nike.com right now
