GASLIGHT Muslims do not separate their life from Islam. We do not care what people say about us, If we fear Allah and follow the Islamic teaching to live a good life, to save rights, to do good , and be secsful in this life and the hereafter Inshaallah. And this Advertising is offensive for Muslims; because Muslims women can do sports in Halal ways and Muslim women should wear decent and wear Islamic Hijab, when there is Men who are not Mahram.

The Truth that is not religion. You are getting culture and religion mixed up. And it’s not “racist” it’s “sexist” most people get religion and culture mixed up. I have studied Islam and it says in the Quran “women and men are equal” yet some men haven’t understood that and treated women like shit due to culture. Please don’t get culture and religion mixed up.

Me as a muslim lives in Middle East, Iraq to be specific, I see this ad represent the Arab culture and it didn’t attack my religion. Yes, here we can’t do sports just few of us, government does not support females sports teams like they do with males, Yes, there’s still some girls can’t go to a just female gyms because of their family especially because of their fathers and brothers, for me I can’t ride a bike because of my society I can’t skate because of my society, I used to dress like a boy and sneak in the early morning when my parents are sleeping to ride my bike, or in the late night when the street is empty while my dad standing in the corner watching me.

There are so many comments not understanding this ad and it’s really sad. It’s not the oppression of women in Islam it’s the oppression of women within certain cultures. This ad itself shows that it’s not the religion otherwise there wouldn’t be any representation of women with hijabs doing what they want instead it would have showed women rejecting hijab and buying Nike gear. But this ad embraces hijab and makes it more wearable, showing the opposite of Islamaphobia. THANK YOU NIKE FOR SUPPORTING US AND OUR RELIGION - a grateful muslimah

surely you'll see people still saying " come-on Islam allows women do do sports, don't be islamophobic" but it's not true Islam doesn't let Women do Sports

This is what pisses me off It’s when a women from a religious background does something that’s not like their culture and the people just stare them down to make them feel bad about themselves

To those who actually enjoyed this DO NOT SCROLL DOWN! Unless you are prepared to argue with idiots who know nothing about Islam. Because trust and believe me when I say there are a lot of disrespectful comments down below that shows how close-minded most people are.

It is very interesting how the women in the ad are more and more uncovered. From fully covered hair to showing a little bit under the hijab to uncovering the head completly to finally uncovering the body. It is also interesting to note that the women always become more masculine in the ad. From jogging, to skating, to boxing and finally sitting on a bike with men's clothes in a masculine pose. I hope that our sisters stay strong and patient and do not let a brands desire to make money and sell their product change their values and deepest convictions.

I am a muslim woman and i don't feel offended like everyone else here does. I like the ad. I am an introvert so the ad speaks to me and kinda unleashes the competitive spirit. Be honest, where in our home countries, do women train like this? Women in arab countries have harder fights to fight so y'all need to chill about this motivational ad. Also the dress isn't too bad, not all muslim women wear the same thing but we have a broad range of muslims. Everyone is allergic to anything nowadays.

When corporations start teaching you "rights" of people - you know its a joke . People whom think this is an ad to 'strengthen' women are seriously deluded . Seriously .

My point exactly, all they care about is making money and very little about women's right. They are a business and this advert will drive up sales for sure.

If your religion stops you from doing what you love when you're not hurting anyone, fuck it. And if your community stops you from doing what you love when you're not hurting anyone, leave it.

I would like to thank our great proposal and the founder of our country, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who gave women the freedom they deserve (the right to vote) even before Europe and liberated them 100 years ago in my country, Turkey, of which I am a citizen.

If Nike cared about women at all they would raise wages and provide better worker conditions and medical benefits in all the industrial sweat shops they run that mainly employ women over in countries like the Philippines and Vietnam. This is simply calculated marketing decision. Stop worshiping these faceless corporations and open your eyes. If Nike cared about women they would stop polluting the water with the industrial waste run off that poisons entire rivers in China. Nike cares so much that they'll dump hazardous chemicals into the water linked to hormonal problems that cause child and grown women to have health issues for life. And all these sheep just eat up the shit they shovel into their mouths with a smile and throw money at them. Opening up new markets and increasing profits for corporate share holders while the blind lead the blind.
