Love isn't easy. It's complicated. It takes practice... And sometimes, we must fall out of love to learn how to sustain it. Long-distance runner Craig Engels' relationship with his profession is no different. After a series of disappointing setbacks, Engels has gone on to find himself through the very sport he once contemplated leaving behind. But this time around, he’s doing things differently. He’s doing it his way. Being a professional runner means pouring into his community and all the aspects that bring him joy.
0:55 Who Am I?
2:14 The Turning Point
5:00 Into the Wild
8:02 For the Love of Running
Our new series “What Are You Working On?” uncovers the works in progress happening around the world as athletes navigate journeys in and beyond their sport. Long-distance runner Craig Engels is working on staying in love with his sport by leaning into his second family, the running community, and creating new experiences off the track. Never Done pouring into the love!

My son went on a recruiting trip this weekend to Cal Poly SLO and we had a chance to meet Craig Engels and have dinner with him. The advice he gave in this documentary is what I will share with my son.... work hard and train hard, but make sure you are enjoying it and having fun along the journey to run FAST! His smile said it all, and he was so humble and easy to talk to. I can't wait to see him in the next Olympics!

Wow, I can 100% identify with that. Some key findings for me: Enjoy the Process > reaching goals Staying fit and healthy > Training hard Nevertheless grind hard > Putting not 100% into your training

running teaches you so much in life, especially how to love something when nothing is going right. i hate running so often because i may not reach a goal or it just gets boring and it's so important to be reminded why you began the sport in the first place. craig is legit the goat and it's inspiring to see that pros struggle in running as much as us high schoolers do

Enough of the BS with Nike downshift Nike is basically faking their own product. This is not a proper running shoe the sole material has no bounce not runner it looks it but its worse than running in a shoe. This shoe would be the worst first step if buy these would give up running. These are the worst running shoes ever had. I have had many Nike Pegasus and others. New balance even cheaper Hi tech. These are the worst of the worst. I used to run 10 miles a day in an hour in my 20s, now 10 miles a week. These look like running shoes but are not. Nike is basically choosing short term profit or fashion over sport. I feel conned by Nike. These were ladled ruining shoes in the Nike shop. A fake would have a better sole. Nike selling fake running shoes in their official shop., This brand they have retired from sport. You suffer because you wear Nike downshift try and decent brand
