Great review! I bought the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Leave-In Conditioner last week, and used it for the 1st time 4 days ago. I usually have to try a hair product 2-3 times before figuring out if I like it or not. But from the first time, I can truly say that I love it! I love the smell, how moisturizing it is, the jar size, and how a little goes a long way. I bought the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Styling Lotion as well, but have yet to try it.

Welcome back and thanks for the review! I tried the JBCO masque and loved it. Shea Moisture products dried my hair out as well when I tried them (except for the yellow shampoo you mentioned.) The absolutely ADORE the leave-in conditioner, but I also wondered about the shampoo and the milk. I actually just started using the leave-in conditioner for the entire month of December and not anything else because I wanted to see how it works. It's so awesome that I use it for bantu knot-outs, three-strand twist-outs, two-strand twists and so on. It's so incredibly moisturizing. Sally's sale will be going on through February, so I definitely want to get the shampoo and the milk and maybe if there is a conditioning mask or something. I typically do not like Shea Moisture's products either, apart from the oils which I use on my skin to seal in my lotion. I'll keep using and track my progress. My hair doesn't feel dry like the other SM products do to it. It feels moisturized and healthy.

I bought this line and it's awesome! It does smell like vanilla play-doh lol and I actually really like it. I've never had a shampoo that detangled and moisturized my hair like this and the masque is even more moisturizing. It convinced me to go out and buy the leave-in conditioner and give the old leave in conditioner I was using to a friend. (It suited her thick hair better anyway.) This line is my staple now!!! I hope that shea moisture doesn't discontinue it. Thanks for your review Nikisha! I definitely wouldn't have bought it if it weren't for your review.

I love love love this Line! I use the shampoo on my locs and they feel so moisturized and my scalp isn't dried out either. This will definitely be a new staple in my haircare regimen.

I love the SM JBCO line. I've been using the Styling Lotion and the Edge Control. My hair is so moisturized and soft when I use the product. I will do a wash and deep condition tonight. They also sale the products at Ulta.

Congratulations on your new home. I finally found someone who hasn't liked Shea Moisture products in the past. I'm (so far) the same way. I've tried three different lines from Shea Moisture and they were terrible and drying to my hair. Since I was able to get a great deal on the Curlkit May Takeover box, I decided to try it. I basically received 4 full size products for less than me buying two. I'm really hoping these will be a hit. They do smell like play-doe with a hint of vanilla. I don't like the scent but I'll get over it if it works.

I will also have to check out the JBCO because up here in Chicago, my hair is so dry especially since it's recently become so cold here. I do agree that the Shea Moisture line is hit or miss for me. I have the leave in, lotion and edge control from JBCO line....I absolutely love it! It is by far my favorite line from Shea Moisture. My hair is very soft and moist from using it. My hair is curly and fine so a little goes a very long way.

I agree 100% I usually use 4-5 products in my hair to completely moisturize it but the black castor oil leave in was like heaven! It was the only thing I put in my hair and I'm loving it!

I love this shampoo. I had to stop using shampoo for an entire year bec my hair was getting too dried out until I found this stuff. I notice that Jamaican black castor oil has strengthen my hair. I place it directly in my conditioners.

I tried to find the shampoo after watching the review and its been sold out everywhere. I went to a couple of stores and the JBCO shampoo is gone. There is always a few conditioners left, but the shampoo is always out. Crazy. :o

I actually just washed my hair....I LOVE the shampoo..i can detangle with it and it leaves my hair soft..im ususally heavy handed with my products becuz my hair is really thick..but a little goes a long way with this shampoo...and i love the leave in as well...i have had these products since i believe october of last year and i wash my hair every week...and i still have good amount left....so i have been getting my moneys worth..im not sure if these products aided in my hair growth becuz my hair grows fast...so i cant really make the connection between the two...but ill start paying more attention to see if i have any extra growth...and congrats on the house😀😀😀
