I’m a slender girl but I can easily fluctuate 8lbs in a 48hr and it’s probably water weight, cortisol due to stress and my stomach will stick out like I’m pregnant. It’s so uncomfortable. It’s so much more noticeable when you’re thin.

Can concur. Was having a bad at a restaurant. But kept putting on the show for the tips. This guy and gal were there didn't order much, small bill, they split a sandwich which was our speciality one feeds about four so that wasn't suprising. Treated normal and right, at the end the guy tipped 100$ for a 30$ meal. And I was whow. Then he said it was their anniversary and they don't go out much, and we're used to being discriminated on being a biracial couple in the south, and appreciated my service and making their date night better. Honestly as treacherous as waiting for tips is, moments like that almost make it all worth it. Making someone else's day and vice versa.

I was chef for 10 years you just get your wage ( which is shit, an no tips ) One day old Greek man came back as we where closing an came to say hi and give his praise which was wonderful enough and he gave me envelope of 250$ and said he was chef for decades he knows it’s a very thankless job, then said don’t blow it all on booze and coke and gave me a wink. It was probably the highlight of my career

As a former maid, you likely don’t have the same person cleaning your room day to day so if anyone can leave just a dollar a day it boosts morale. I have walked into rooms where they’ve checked out n gotten $20 that someone else deserved but I didn’t have access to who cleaned that room throughout the week. Being a maid was one of the hardest jobs I ever had. They time u and its just constant go go go so I dunno if that helps but it’s better to split the tip up by the day if you can 😊

It's so funny to me that Andrew says you never see anyone with their own name tattooed on themselves - my grandfather had his full name tattooed onto his arm back in the 40s. My grandfather, who would've been 101 years old this year, was a frontline medic in WWII and one drunken night, thinking of the horrors he saw and what might become of him, decided to get his name tattooed on him in case he lost his head (literally) and his body could be identified so his mother would have closure instead of always wondering what happened to her son. As the older man I knew him as, he absolutely hated tattoos and said it was his second biggest regret in life. The first one? Being married to my grandmother, which he was for around 60 years lol

Every diet or eating style is different for everyone in terms of success. I was in great shape my whole life but found myself 50lbs overweight as I closed in on 40. I started intermittent fasting with exercise and I lost 50lbs in 6 months and never binged. You may binge at the start because you are hungry but if you get through the first week or two eating half the meal you used to eat when you finally do eat, you will find yourself full sooner as soon as your brain adjusts.
