I think it was two factors that ultimately took her life: the cancellation of Big Brother (reports said that she was supposed to have a production role on the show, but never came to fruition after Channel 5 dropped the programme) and (more impactful) the pandemic and lockdowns and isolation taking a grave toll on her mental health. If she had gotten the due help and support during those lockdowns, we'd have Nikki Grahame alive and kicking right now. But the UK government so beyond bungled the response, as we've seen thus far.

I used to think this was hilarious but I’m revisiting this video after hearing about Nikki’s death. I feel awful for once finding humour in this. I learned a little after this aired that she had an eating disorder but I didn’t realize how serious it was. I’m sure no one in the house was aware of her illness and that if they had been, they would not have put her through this torment. Rest In Peace Nikki Grahame. ❤️

Nikki was suffering from complex issues that manifested in food issues and an eating disorder and honestly this isn't okay. By the time she appeared on this show, that was well documented. For her, Big Brother houses were just like the institutions where she spent her childhood and teen years trying to get well. She needed something different to this. RIP Nikki.

it's funny , normally HGS that are .." spoiled or pampered " .. usually annoy me and I generally can't stand them ..( RAUL ) lol. However , with Nikki 😁 I find she has an Endearing side to her and even though she IS certainly pampered ..... I can't help but like her. I completely agree, an icon is a person that totally represents and transcends the culture at the period that they became prominent. Nikki Grahame was the 2000s. Hilarious, self deprecating, unaware, self absorbed, but completely and utterly lovable. I'd say that she said more about Britain in the early 21st Century than any other television personality. She fell victim to the short sighted and irresponsible lockdowns that isolated those who were truly at risk and treated them as incidental causality numbers. She must have been so lonely and afraid.
