I can tell a difference. On the old side the blush and highlight stayed exact where you put it (sticker formula as makes sense) but the new side the blush and highlight melted in giving a softer look to the blush & highlight.

Me too...I just picked up the new one and it goes on differently. seems to be settling into fine lines more, and very strong perfume smell now. Not happy that I have to go through the whole foundation quest again.

Since the formula has changed the foundation doesn’t look as it supposed to, it seems a lot more dry and it doesn’t get absorbed by my skin anymore - you can just see it on my skin and it gives that crusty look to it even tho I didn’t change anything in my skincare whatsoever… I’m really sad about it bc now I have to look for a new foundation after all these years 😢

@@SwanTheQueen sadly no :( I tried the estee lauder double wear because I read a lot of positive things about it, but unfortunately it also didn’t go well with my skin and had the same effect where it’s very visible on the skin :( I’m still using this one from Mac rn and try to put on some extra moisturizer and primer which helped a bit luckily. Hope you/we can find our new go to foundation soon ❤️

I don’t understand how the old one absorbed onto skin when it was a heavy thicker formula? Even this lady reviewing said the old one was thicker and heavier. This newer formula is great for daily wear she says, too. I never liked heavy foundation… I didn’t really wear the old formula until last year for my wedding. I just bought MAC foundation yesterday, so I have the new formula. From the one used on me last year and this one I have, I like this one better for daily usage. I haven’t tried it on all day, yet. So, my opinion could change on it. But I do understand where people are coming from upset they changed the formula and how much the old one was loved. Just don’t understand how the other one can absorb onto the skin due to how the formula was.

I just started using Mac one… I’ve worn the Estée Lauder one before. I prefer the MAC one. It looks better on my skin. I’ve heard someone say Estee Lauder isn’t that great. But it must be because there are people who love(d) it, just like there are people who love the MAC one.

Glad to hear the new formulated MAC Studio Fix Fluid is a good improvement from the previous formulation. I'm confused with the shade comparison with the old formulation I've watched other reviews on KZbin and many say the shade of the new formulation is lighter than the previous formulation and some said including you Ms Nikkia Joy said the shades are still the same. Does the new formulated MAC Studio Fix Fluid oxidize like the previous formulation? My shade in Estee Lauder Double Wear is 3W1 Tawny and it's a perfect match for my skin tone and for MAC Studio Fix Fluid my shade is NC25 because MAC Studio Fix Fluid normally oxidize so I go a shade lighter and after minutes passed the shade NC25 matches my skin tone. So in the new formulated MAC Studio Fix Fluid should I still go with NC25?

Hi! I am a Mac artist! and yes, you should definitely stay with the. NC25. The new study fixed fluid formula does not oxidize. 😊

​@@viviana4887 The reason why I went with NC25 was because of how MAC Studio Fix Fluid oxidize so I went a shade lighter than my skin and the shade NC25 is Lighter than my skin tone and after when it oxidized after minutes passed the color then matches my skin tone. So if the new formulated MAC Studio Fix Fluid doesn't oxidize anymore then the shade NC25 will still be lighter than my skin tone since it doesn't oxidize anymore? 😔

well being out of my old stuff, I finally caved and got the new one. Not happy with how it goes on. seems a bit spotty, and worst of all they added a very strong fragrance. The old formula, at least here in Canada, did not have any scent to me at all. This new one is very strong smelling. testing it now. Hoping the fragrance doesn't irritate my skin. I suspect It will, my skin is so sensitive. It may be going back to Sephora very soon. Uggg so not looking forward to finding a new foundation. MAC what have you done??

I agree❤ my absolute HG no matter what foundation has existed prior or any and all new releases, nothing beats DW for me. On light days i can sheer it out or i use my HG tinted moisturizer the Laura Mercier oil free TM. Both i have used since for at least my early 20's and i'm 36 now.

The new formula is magic in a bottle. Its sooooo much better than the old one and is a replacement for too faced matte RIP. I can wear this all day, hike or play pickleball and not powder amd it never gets oily or shiny. Its incredible

bigger shade range ? i was never able to try the old mac as the shade range was completely off either to orange or to yellow as a oily/combo/dehydrated skin type i have a issue with separating i always try and keep my ingredients matching however some brands offer a foundation/primer as different bases but claim they were designed to work together so they shouldn't clash is this something people recommend or to good to be true ?

I disagree, when you apply in person you can absolutely tell the difference for the worst. Texture is terrible, awful lemony fragrance, doesn’t melt in your skin like the OG just sit in your pores immediately, oxidize almost the minute you are applying, pilling. Never had that with the OG. Is completely a different awful product. Please give us a replacement. This new one is not it. We all hate it.
