I tried it and haven't seen a big difference, however it tends to give me more volume than usually. Adding salt did make my shampoos go kind of weird and liquidy... not sure if that is normal but they still work

I actually started adding salt to my Shampoo after watching Nikia's video and for me it is helping to keep the oils at bay, I can go an extra day or two without washing my hair where previously it was every second day I'd need to wash it. I don't think Nikia has published a follow up though.

I have the elf aqua duo in bronzed violet. I also love this. I'm very pale skinned and I thought this would be too dark, but it isnt. It's so easy to use. It's my first cream product so I wasnt confidence at first. It's perfect for people new to creams. I love it

I like the Maybelline one. What I found that helps more than anything for oily skin is the tip Nikkia provided on a pervious video. Spray setting spray, then powder, then start the regular process of primer, foundation, etc, and finish everything with more powder and setting spray. For me, it doesn't matter what foundation I use. Following this will have the makeup stay in place no matter what. I don't even use primer anymore and it'll stay.

Yeah I can see how it can. For me, that's why I stopped with the primer. Find your right balance of amount and type of product. Like just a couple spritzes, little blots of powder, then start the routine. Maybe if you can switch your powder, too. I use the double wear foundation, but I think I'll go for something a bit less matte bc I can see where it can get cakey if I go heavy handed. The technique is worth it to play around with and find the right balance.

Damn. Well. Blot and touch ups. What's a girl to do? Maybe try the technique only where you get oilier and stay away from the parts that are prone to cake? But with us oily skin girls, oils seems to break out everywhere!

Happy New Year Nikkia! I'd love to see a video on a no-foundation routine that still works to control oil. I only wear a bit of concealer under my eyes on a day to day basis with a bit of powder. But that doesn't do much to control my oil. Can primers control oil without a foundation on top?

Milani, Maybelline, Physician’s Formula, Wet and Wild have expanded to create very needed, well made products with better ingredients and extending their shade range, FINALLY. This is all because people demanded more of brands. Hope high end will start following suite or they will feel it in their wallets. Consumers are wising up and I’m loving it.

Hi Nikkia, MAC have a pretty good highlighter, Oh Darling Extra Dimension Skin Finish; but the highlighter I’m really loving atm, like totally obsessed with is the “Enlightened Powder” by Mecca Cosmetica, it comes in a rose gold container, I always get comments when I wear it!

Love these types of videos, tried & true products that you use over months are much better than first impressions that make the difference in decisions on future purchases. I actually got the BH Cosmetics highlighter palette for free because they had to break my order in two & I got my foundation a couple weeks before my concealer. Love that concealer, but it's a tad light for me & will be ordering the right shade & in the meantime it makes a great eyeshadow base it's so full coverage & the dry down time is perfect. I like those highlights but probably won't get a lot out of the duo chrome one except maybe as an eyeshadow, but not sure if it's usable on the lid? Thanks for sharing & have a great day today! The essence bronzer is really good and it’s the only bronzer I find that isn’t too dark when I’m extremely pale or the only bronzer that I found that is actually light enough for me and doesn’t make me look like a Cheeto puff. And it’s only $5 so I need to stock up lol

Fit Me, Loreal Hydra Perfect, I believe Rimmel Stay Matte comes in tints, La Girl’s is really good. No 7, Collab are top notch, but Ive found compact powders now work better for coverage while not being heavy. CG Elixir is a great one, Milani in the black compact, and PF mineral powders in your skin tone are excellent. Sets down your base beautifully while giving you extra yet seamless coverage. PF launched powders in the healthy line in both loose and compact form too that I have no doubt with be awesome since that whole line is. Oh and LA Colors has a mineral powder, compact form, you can get at the Dollar Stores that is as good as high end powders. That’s a steal and very underrated. Neutrogena have great tinted powders. I think we over look compacts when that’s the way to go if we’re wanting a little more coverage when setting. Add a good setting spray after application and you’re golden.

My fave highlighters have been Mac Snowflushed, Maybelline x Nikkietutorials Masterchrome, and Laura Geller Gelato Swirl in Diamond Dust. Fave bronzers are physicians formula butter bronzer and Ulta brand. Fave blushes have been Ulta brand and Nars Orgasm. 💋💋💋
