You can apply that logic to the second half of S05 only. They finished shooting S05 in April/May of 2020. They then prosponed the the start shooting of S06 whilst Melissa was out. She returned to shooting in January, 2021. She had already had her son so there is no logical reason why she would be sidelined in S06.

This show has taught me a lot, it has help me grow to be the person I am today, I remember in season 3 where Kara wanted to get rid of herself, to just be Supergirl, and Alex told her that Kara Danvers was her hero and that she had saved her more times that Supergirl ever could, and that studied with me, cuz it's true, her light, the hope she transmits as a person has saved me from myself, has helped me walk through the other side, and for that I'll forever be grateful, nice video as always, perfection. I'm gonna miss this show, it had some low points that's true, but where it shines it's that it has a heart, and tho Supercorp wasn't endgame, I love that they tackled on the issue that has being eatin Kara since forever, being her true self, whole, not hiding, it is wonderful and meaningful for everyone I believe we hide things of ourselves to be accepted and love,as I trans person I know what is like to hide a part of yourself to everyone you love, scare of everyone to find out, trying to figure out who you are, feeling like you will never be wholly you, and again Supergirl, Kara Zor El Dangers has taught me how to have hope

I think, near the end of the series, they kind of lost sight of Kara being a beacon a hope that shines brighter and longer than the sun. Somewhere along the way they lost the focus on the central character and instead decided to cast most of the light on the other characters' story arcs. Don't get me wrong, seeing the other characters growth and development is great, especially when it ties together with the El Mayara concept, but I wanted more conflicts and victories from Supergirl herself. I wanted more of the meat per se rather than the potatoes and sides that were ultimately just extras or fillers. Despite the writing going downhill as the series continued, it's still a great show. And I'm glad I found this video because it reminded me of the core values this show portrays: hope, compassion, and justice for all. Supergirl brought me out of depression with her idealisms. Even after the show had ended, she still continues to inspires me to be a better version of myself. I'm just sad it wasn't given a better send-off (or Supercorp). Oh well, we can't always get what we want.

True, SUPERGIRL with Melissa Benoist was a well done TV show but some critics are right, the producers missed the possibility to give her a more Kryptonian Viewpoint to things. After all when KARA had reached Earth she already had been a young Teenager and not just a Baby like her Cousin Superman aka JOR EL, CLARK KENT. That is a difference the series never really had worked out other than some of the Comics I mean the time for it was right. In the TV series SLEEPY HOLLOW this element had been well worked out with Ichabod Crane. There the viewpoint of a " LATE COLONIAL " contrary to a modern US-Americaan had ben worked out really good
