Complement taken, my grandmother was from the Netherlands. She spoke pure Dutch. She could speak English obviously but also Dutch mostly at home. I guess to raise me to be bilingual. Unfortunately she passed away about four years ago and I strayed away from the language. Because it reminded me of her and I miss her a lot. But I am now learning it again because I just fell in love with the country and the people even though I don’t live there. And I love Nikkie!

Hoi Nikkie! Heel leuk dit! Ik struggle zelf met makeup: alles gaat meestal top totdat ik concealer aanbreng en dit wil 'baken'. Ik weet nooit hoe lang het moet en als de concealer er eenmaal op zit: dat haat ik wat ik onder mijn ogen opeens zie: rimpels. Gebruik geen primer? Misschien kan ik daar eens investeren, maar ik weet me ook geen raad met een goede concealer en of ik dit met een kwast of blender moet aanbrengen. Kan je tips geven? Of een video over allerlei manieren doen? Zodat ik alles een keer kan uitproberen.

Meine Musiklehrerin meinte damals mal, dass sich Deutsch vor ein paar hundert Jahren auch so angehört aber dann weiterentwickelt hat. Also Niederländisch ist quasi zurückgebliebenes Deutsch 😂

@@nadirahahmed7359 No we use a lot of the English names in Dutch, so blush, foundation, primer, concealer, eyeliner, setting spray, etc. in English are called just that in Dutch. We do have the word lippenstift for lipstick, oogschaduw for eyeschadow, wenkbrauwpotlood for eyebrow pencil annnnd probably some others I'm forgetting right now.

Bcz in dutch and german they have hilfsverbs and main verbs which are placement almost opposite lots of the time to english, making it sound quite an unfamiliar sound to us english speakers If u think thts hard try memorizing their past tense and present tense and futur tense as well as all of the articles that nouns have
