Nikki. I just stumbled upon your channel, and I have never felt more thankful for KZbin's "Suggested Videos" section. I watched your Draw My Life, and when you said you performed for Universal, I realized that the internet universe pushed me to your channel for a reason. I perform at Universal Orlando, and also grew up performing all my life at my mother's dance studio. I have spent the last 2 hours watching your videos, and I admire you. I have been struggling with the idea of starting KZbin for months now, and the only thing holding me back is the fact that I do not live in CA and I feel like it is difficult to go anywhere in this community without living there. I feel so passionate about sharing my time- highs and lows of performing- etc with the internet, but I just feel stuck. Seeing where you started provides so much hope and inspiration. I too have suffered from a serious health crisis which I dealt with through natural means after dozens of western doctors had no answers for me. It took me a while to see the blessings in the chaos. Now that I'm almost entirely better, I'm beginning my longtime dream of starting a KZbin channel. I am brand new, but am having so much fun with it. Nikki, I've been subscribed to your channel for perhaps two years now and just realized I never watched this video! I've paused it about 5 minutes in and just wanted to say that I have so much more respect for you on a whole other level. I was home schooled up (similar style to yours!) until the 8th grade where I entered a private academy. I really disliked it and left early, to basically carve my own life, with my then boyfriend now-husband. You just reminded me of my own childhood with my siblings through pretend play and everything. nikki u r somebody i look to for inspiration and to know that about your child hood is so inspiring because i believe that happiness is a choice. u seem so happy and lovely and i have been through a lot too and i believe i am a happy and grateful person and i think a lot of people latch onto all of the things that happened to them in the past that are not good things and they take those things and ride on the coat tails of those awful things their whole lives. always using it as an excuse to have an awful life. but the truth is that we have ALL been through good and bad and its not what happens to us, its how we react to those things that shape our bright (or not so bright) future. thank you for sharing! u did a great job! i know this was a huge project (i have been working on a canvas video for over a month now) and its a lot of work but after its done, it will be so fulfilling + rewarding

I can't tell you how much I appreciate you including the part about the molestation when you were a little girl. I feel as though a lot of youtubers don't want to include things like that and it makes me feel like I'm so different from them. I was molested by my birth father when I was 4. My mum was in a mental hospital for depression and I only told her about it about a year ago. You are a perfect example of not letting things like that hold you back and ruin your life.
