That guy is Nacho which is short for Ignacio, and his name was mentioned in BB.
@2000tmaster5 жыл бұрын
I really like the end of the episode. When Nacho proposes to rob the Kettlemans, the audience automatically thinks that Jimmy will accept the deal, especially after seeing how unprofitable his honest work is. But Jimmy immediately declines. And you already pointed out that Jimmy does not risk a lot when accepting the deal. Even if the robbery fails, the Kettlemans can't reprot them without confessing their own theft. The only reason for Jimmy to not accept the deal is, that it is morally and legally wrong. It is easy to think "Oh, I know Saul from Breaking Bad. This is basically Saul, just a little bit earlier in time.", but moments like this one show that there is still a long way between Jimmy and Saul.
@CoRLex-jh5vx11 ай бұрын
The same contrast is also shown in his refusal to leave the twins behind to their inevitable fates. Jimmy has a lot of reasons to just walk away and only a guilty conscience as a reason to risk arguing with Tuco over it. Saul would have 100% left them

Notes from Better Call Saul Insider Podcast Episode: Mijo Co-hosts Kelley Dixon (editor); Chris McCaleb (editor) Guests: Co-creators Vince Gilligan & Peter Gould; Bob Odenkirk (Saul); Michelle Maclaren (director) 1. Bob tore his vocal chords like 3 weeks before shooting. He thought it was on Tim & Eric’s Bedtime Stories, but realized it was from yelling in his car in LA traffic 😂 So he doesn’t talk on the weekends. It’s still there at the time of the podcast recording - he said he needs to not talk for like a month. Jon Hamm has something worse that required surgery! He was really worried about it for recording, as he’d regularly drop words. 2. One of the things that came up when the writers got Jimmy & Tuco in the same episode together was “wouldn’t it be great to get Michelle MacLaren to direct this one?” 3. Rhea Seehorn (❤️) (Kim) was on set more than anyone, just observing everything & prepping 4. One of the things that set the tone & separates it from Breaking Bad was the bar, as it was upscale and not something that’d be in BB. Selecting that location helped her find the tone for the whole episode. 5. Bob ad libbed the montage in the courtroom. He’s the funniest person on earth, so he had everyone laughing out of control. When he made himself laugh, it really killed everyone! Since it’s edited & partly silent, it doesn’t read as all comedy, though 6. They had written a guy with a snake tattoo in the script, and never thought they’d find someone, but someone showed up with an actual snake tattoo! Peter was like, ehhh, I don’t think it’s the right snake. Vince was like ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING??? ITS A GUY WITH A FUCKING SNAKE ON HIS FACE!!😂 (this is all in a joking tone)9 7. The scene where jimmy was on a date - was originally going to have dialogue, but jimmy said something about chocolate milk, and if he’d said that, the specificity of it would’ve seemed to the audience like it was going to come back later, and that wasn’t the intent. But because the actors were so good, and Michelle was directing(and is amazing), and the editing was good and the music selection was perfect, they were able to make it work even better without dialogue. 8. The desert scene with Tuco was originally written to be in a warehouse, but they realized it’d be better in an old BB type location of the desert. 9. Chuck’s house is a set on a stage. (Continues in replies)
@pearljammies5 жыл бұрын
10. The space blanket acts like a tinfoil hat in deflecting electromagnetism 11. Michael McKean was on Mr. Show (from me: hilarious sketch. But they all are!) - he played a law professor who did the old “look to your left, look to your right. One of these people will not graduate” bit. 12. You can watch Michael’s Spinal Tap demo reel on KZbin! 13. Kelley realizes she’s fallen in love with jimmy in the courthouse montage - as have all the women in the office. She can’t believe Bob has gotten her to that point - she never thought she’d care about Saul Goodman. But the compassion he shows, how much he cares...jimmy is _not_ Saul. He’s so lovable. 14. You can call the phone number to the nail salon & get a fun message (true for every number or url mentioned in the series btw 15. Michael Mando (Nacho) - it’s like he looks at Jimmy and sees Saul. And it makes Jimmy very uncomfortable

I can’t wait to see how the two of you react to learning more about Chuck and his illness. He’s such a fantastic character and is so beautifully portrayed by Michael McKean. The reason the show is so good.. besides the cinematography is that they tell the stories in such a way that you actually CARE about the characters. That was the thing I noticed back when SyFy channel used to make those cheesy b-rated monster movies they'd premiere on Sat nights... I just did not care about the characters. They were simply fodder for the monster so that one of them.. or two in some cases.. could be alive at the end of the movie.. the rest of the characters were just death scenes waiting to happen. At the beginning of the SyFy movie I had no idea which was the 'end survivor'.. and in reality, since I did not care about the characters... it did not matter which was which. So watching the SyFy movie was just a waste of time.. could just fast forward to the death scenes if ya wanted to.. but again.. don't care about the characters.. don't care about their death scenes. Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones, Vikings, etc. make you care about the characters.. and THAT is what makes these shows epic. Peace

The show will totally feel slow, as Breaking Bad was in the beginning, but it’s building up the story which is fantastic!!! 🦵🏻🏜🎫💰

One of Saul's best lines ever was when he said to Walt "The real name's McGill. The Jew thing is for the homeboys. It makes them feel better if they think I'm a hard, pipe-hitting member of the tribes." Tuco's right hand guy is indeed named Nacho. And you have not seen the last of him. Overall this show does have a bit of slower pace than Breaking Bad but it's still a really great show in it's own right.

They're all lucky Tuco wasn't high, otherwise nobody would've walked out of there alive, lol.

The show is Genius all the way through, the people that think it’s boring just want sex and violence every episode. This is more of a thinking man’s show.

Sex??? Perhaps in my personal life, but not on my TV shows.

@@MrButtlettuce So are you telling me we all watched GOT for the sex??? Let's be honest if we want to watch sex, we'll look at porn.

Fernando You aren’t making sense. I don’t understand how you aren’t getting this, unless you are being purposefully obtuse.

@@MrButtlettuce I'm just being 100% real. The average person doesn't spend countless of hours on a tv series for the "sex and/or nudity". Therefore sex/nudity isn't what makes a show/movie entertaining or "not slow". A slow show is basically those that spend a large amount of it's time on dialogue. Yet I do agree with you in regards to violence/action.
