I personally would've casted an actual fat ugly looking actor but props to the casting for seeing what Colin Farrell is made of. And props to the Makeup artists. This is the power of practical effects.

This penguin rhythm continues to flow very well and with Cristin's Sofía, who is very charismatic, who is manipulative, who is with farrel... it's scary. AND SERIOUSLY THAT PERFECTLY INCLUDES WHAT IT MEANS TO EVENTUALLY KNOW MORE ABOUT BOTH.👍👍👍

My favorite show so far, just awesome. And what I appreciate is they don't let you forget The Penguin is a bad guy. We can sympathize on some things, his mother, the reason he has a limp ,how ppl see him etc. But he doesn't want sympathy or ask for it. He's a villain, period. And what drove it home for me is Oz snapping on Vic. I understand his reason, he warned Vic before, No F Ups. Yeah they have cool moments but Oz is on a mission, & if Vic wants to be down, AND LIVE, he HAS to be clutch. But Ozwald REALLY doesn't need Vic, he's just giving him the chance he begged for to prove himself. And THAT makes me fear for Vic even more. He may like Victor & all, Oz is charming etc. BUT if Vic can't produce, AND FREEZE up, Oz WILL cancel him. He HAD to remind him of that.

On your note about Penguin having a story for every situation: that story about his mom ended with “she passed away,” which wasn’t true. In that case, it was probably because he wants to protect her/ not bring up her dementia, but it calls into question how much of his other stories are fudging the truth.

The Carla-Sofia-Gia scene is fascinating. Pretty sure Carla was sent to talk to Sofia about organising a 'girl's trip' to Lake Como (Luca brings it up again when they are speaking alone) - hence the slightly manic 'hey girl, you look great, how you been?' kind of energy. It does seem to be working though - Sofia is a little overwhelmed, but for a moment I think she believes Carla really is happy to see her. And then the child appears on the scene - and Carla instinctively pulls Gia to her and away from Sofia, who _definitely_ noticed. That's when she goes psycho cold again. I really don't think she'd do anything to a kid, but the fact that people think she would cuts her deep...

You know what I’m starting to love? Sofia’s tic of stuffing her face when she eats. Most of the time she’s so composed and thoughtful in the way she speaks and acts, but there’s always that quality of unhinged predatory viciousness lurking below the surface. The rare times you get to see how much of predator she is is when she devours any food brought in front of her like a lion ripping through the flesh of its victim.

I think the QR code is an explanation for where Batman is and might also be a teaser for the Batman sequel. He is still focused on cleaning up the remaining of Riddler's men. I also think this is something fans have always wondered about in the comics, what else is happening in Gotham while Batman is pursuing another villain?

I love how the characters are written, especially Sophia, she's an absolute mystery, you wanna know more about her but at the same time you're afraid of that knowledge which is fantastic writing that we missed for years now , compare that to any Disney slop where the characters are mysterious to us as a blocked toilet to a plumber, wish we get more of this not just in DC but in general.

Sofia's conversation with her friend and her daughter, had an extra layer to it. According to the radio, Sofia had killed at least seven women, can you really blame her for holding her daughter close. She was trying to talk to her friend at first but got to see a glimpse of the hangman.
