@@yasinozkaran4417 That’s a great question!.. In my humble opinion, choosing the right jig head is a continual learning process for every fisherman regardless of their experience level.… I have found that the best thing to do when selecting an effective jig head is to experiment with different jig-head size and weights, but considering the following “rules of thumb.” 1.) ROD & REEL - each rod & reel comes with a manufacturer recommended range of lure weights that can be properly used on that system. If you are able, then select a rod & reel that will match the lure specs you’re wanting to use for the species of fish you would like to catch. 2.) HOOK SIZE - select a jig-head with a hook size that allows for the lure to have maximum action. Typically, the hook point should be no more than the midway point of the lure body. 3.) WATER CONDITIONS - on shallow non-moving to slow moving water try lighter weight jig heads. Water depth of around 5 foot and deeper, or in stronger current, typically requires heavier jig heads. I respect you for not being afraid to ask questions that help everyone become better fishermen!… The main disadvantages of having lighter jig-heads in deeper waters are that they can cause the lure to sink at a slow rate of speed, making it take longer for the lure to reach the bottom. Light jig-heads in deep water can also cause the retrieve to be extra fast, causing the lure to reach the surface really fast when you are reeling in. The ideal action for a jig-head is to provide a “jigging” (slight lifelike bouncing) action that can stay in front of the target fish long enough, in order to entice a strike/bite.

I’ve had real good success with the Obsidian color leech, that’s why I was expecting the Eclipse color to do better than what it did on this video. Now you have me curious to see how the Magma color would perform?!?! Thanks for the tip!
