Thanks for sharing your experience with great results....yes I agree with your comments as I only have a D500 with the older 70-300mm lens & I love using it for good results... cheers from Australia 😀

I'm sure it will be amazing as with all the Z mount lenses so far, it will be interesting to see the compact primes as well, I think they are due for release this year.

Any reason you used the AF-P version? Isnit faster or better than the AF-S version
@pictureworldphotography5 ай бұрын
I haven't had the chance to test them both side by side but from what I understand the AFP version is a bit smaller and lighter and it has a Pulse/stepping motor for focusing which makes it faster and quieter. When buying Nikon lenses I would always opt for the AFP version over the AFS every time. Cheers.

I have one of these lenses arriving shortly in the post for my z7 - your images show lovely bokeh but to me the main focused image is slightly soft? Do you feel it gives pin sharp images - if so is it the same throughout the zoom or better at certain focal lengths?
@pictureworldphotography2 жыл бұрын
I've just looked at the images in my computer and they look fine, the video was shot in 1080p and KZbin compression has it's effect on video quality as usual. I normally shoot my videos in 4K but I can't remember why I shot this one in 1080p. I really haven't used this lens much as it is my wife's lens and I borrowed it for the video but I am going to be testing it further soon on my Z6ii and my Z50 for comparison, I hope to have that completed in the next few weeks.

Great! Now i have the confident to buy the pre owned 70-300mm dslr lens from Carousel😂. I have the native kit lens (very sharp and versatile) and Viltrox 85mm (fast, amazing bokeh and taking the photography into different level) which both are great but still need the zooming power whenever i see some interesting animals.

@pictureworldphotography3 жыл бұрын
I think the FTZ adapter is really good and I find the autofocus to be pretty decent and the lenses that I own work very good on my Z6, I am soon going to be testing it on my Z50 and see how that handles it, I'm sure I won't be disappointed, this adapter has worked flawlessly every time. I'm pleased you found the video helpful. I would be interested to know how you get on with it when you purchase it and use it with your lenses, happy shooting.

@@vocalstories2578 I'm pleased the video helped you, I think the F mount lenses are very good value and very sharp as well. I'm hoping to add more F mount lenses as my budget allows, I'd like to test some of the Sigma Art lenses some time as well but we'll have to wait and see on that. Do you turn off the VR on the lens when you use tripod? Thx
@pictureworldphotography3 жыл бұрын
Yes I do when I remember to switch it off, sometimes I forget and so I'll redo the shot with the VR off. VR works best when handheld and so we should always turn it off when on a tripod.

Is this lens available for bird photography? I have got Z50, i am planning to use it with 1,4 tele converter.
@pictureworldphotography2 жыл бұрын
You could use it for bird photography however I'm not too sure on how quick the autofocus will be using the Z50 and a teleconverter, not sure on if you can even use a teleconverter with this lens on a Z50 as you would first need to use the FTZ adapter to fit this lens on the Z50. The rear element on the 70-300mm lens is flush with the end of the lens meaning there isn't any room for the teleconverter to fit into the rear of the lens. Have a look at this link to compatibility chart from Nikon. www.nikonusa.com/en_INC/IMG/Assets/Common-Assets/Images/Teleconverter-Compatibility/en_US_Comp_chart.html

Hi! Greetings from Venezuela. A few months ago I bought a Nikon Z5 and I would like to know from your experience if the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f / 4.5-6.3G ED VR lens is recommended and fully functional. Thank you. PS: I used Google Translate to ask this question :)
@pictureworldphotography3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jhonathan Miranda, if I were you I would go for the FX model AF-P 70-300mm 4.5-5.6E which would be much better as it is meant for full frame cameras like the Z5, that DX model lens would work on your camera but you would be shooting in DX mode as the camera would recognize it as the DX model and crop in on your image, so yes it would be compatible but with a crop so if budget allows go for the FX model. Hope this helps you. Cheers.

I am using 70-200F4G now, do you think I need to change to 70-300E for 100mm focal segment? I am now going to use one of them with the Z6 to shoot the plane, I already have 24-70F2.8g to take the shot.
@pictureworldphotography2 жыл бұрын
I have owned and used the 70-200 F4 lens and it is a wonderful lens, this 70-300mm just adds a bit more reach for when we need it and it too is a wonderful lens, sharp and accurate focus and light. My advice to you would be that if you think you would use the extra reach of the 70-300mm more then you could possibly trade your 70-200mm F4 for the 70-300mm to lessen the expense, on the other hand if you only need the extra reach occasionally then you could always put the Z6 into DX mode and achieve the same reach but with a lower resolution, your choice really as it comes down to your own use case for your photography. Thanks for the question and I hope this helps you.

What do you advise. 24-70 f4 kit lens and this, or nikon z 24-200 f4-6.3 vr ?
@pictureworldphotography3 жыл бұрын
It depends on several things, what your budget is and what you are shooting, weight etc. Are you shooting video, are you shooting professionally. The 24-70mm F4 lens is a very good lens, sharp, quiet and compact, i've not tested the 24-200mm F4-6.3 but I have seen some reviews on it and it appears to be a very good sharp lens despite the fact of it being F6.3 at the long end. The 70-300mm F mount lens is a very good option if price is a concern as the Z mount lenses are more expensive, my advice is for you to visit your nearest camera store and ask to try them out on your Z6 camera and see what you like with your budget in mind. Hope this helps, thanks for watching.

Firstly my apologies for not stating it in my video, the images are very lightly processed using a little bit of saturation and vibrance, I really need to sort this out in camera next time. I have it set on standard picture profile and need to change this so I don't need to do it in post.
@tor29193 жыл бұрын
Seems like a good lens. Of course you get blurry background shooting very small things at close range no matter what aperture you use with a long lens. I would have liked to have seen at least one picture of a person full length. Also something like a car from a 100 meters. More variation. Thank you
@pictureworldphotography6 ай бұрын
A lot of people aren't aware that you can get blurry backgrounds with lenses like this, some think that you can only achieve this with F2.8 versions so it was my intention to show this. Thanks for your input though, much appreciated. Cheers.
