Small crochet needle. We have them in sizes. Big, medium, small. One can even use the small one for ventilation as a beginner that is learning how to ventilate. I bought it online from AliExpress. Just search for "small crochet needle for wig making" It will pop up in different types.

No I didn't. If you watch the video to the end, you will see that I deep the ends in hot water and then trim it with a hair clipper.
