I honestly think him being adopted and clearly struggling with disordered eating by going vegan, we have research into how a majority of people going on vegan, Paleo, keto, or other restrictive diets do so for socially acceptable eating disorders as they can hide it as just caring about x, really impacted him. Yeah I have an incurable disease too. It causes me to suffer terrible chronic pain. People like Nick really piss me off. I don’t wish bad things on people but it makes me wonder how he’d deal with REAL pain. I’m in a worse situation ever since the “opioid” crisis. I use to at least be able to get meds to help combat my pain but now they just cut my meds again. I'd pull my hair every time I was at school and the hell rang for months after and developed a really bad habit about chewing my sleeves until they literally fell apart for years afterward due to the anxiety and stress, long after the bell.. I feel for anyone who has had to go through this. Sure, it makes you feel bad feeling that way, but it really does get overused sometimes.

I had a similar incident happen to me at the hospital that you had. I was in for intestinal infection-not life threatening, but I was put in the oncology wing. My dad was dying from cigarettes at the time and there was a woman in the room next to me who was dying from the same thing as he was. When it would be quiet, I could hear her wheezing and fighting for air all day and night. Without the copious amounts of hydromorpho injections I was receiving I’m not sure how I could’ve dealt with listening to her. It was horrible. I would picture my dad going through the same shit at home in his bed, alone. I think I actually heard the woman when she died. My dads lungs gave out a few months later. Shit changes you. Makes you far more empathetic than you were before. Makes you realize what’s really important. We have to try our best to not forget those lessons. That little hospital story you told hit me like a dump truck. I try not to think about the bullshit that often, which means I probably haven’t dealt with it completely yet. I’ve just chalked it up to “it is what it is.”

I hear you. When you really get in the shit and see how fragile life is, your whole outlook on things changes and you suddenly reprioritize everything. When I tried to return to the workforce after being diagnosed with chronic blood cancer I returned to my job with a totally different set of priorities as everyone else; so many work things just seemed so petty. Like, I really don't care I was 3 minutes late and you, my manager, making a huge deal about it just shows that there's so few problems here that you're just looking for shit to be a problem. I also returned WAY more mouthy than I already am and would say shit like this to people's faces. Needless to say I was first on the chopping block. I was with a friend when her grandmother was dying in hospice. That alone was bad enough, watching what looked like an empty body on autopilot fighting to simply survive, but the woman in the bed next to her died. It was the first time I'd seen a human life end and I immediately burst into pretty uncontrollable sobbing. My friend couldn't understand why I was so messed up over a stranger dying. Since my diagnosis I just view all life differently. Hell, I apologize to the bugs I spray if they get into the house. I'm sorry you lost your father. I can't imagine the pain it caused seeing him suffer. I hope you're doing well; the pain never really goes away completely, it just gets easier to manage over time.

As a fat person myself, his videos really make me upset. I get the vibe that the insults the two of them spew at each other are for show & kind of "in character", but I've been legitimately harassed & insulted with some of the same things that Nikocado's boyfriend said. Fake or not, those kinds of insults are hurtful & cut deep psychologically. I love myself as I am, extra weight and all. But I couldn't possibly imagine uploading mukbang videos of myself peppered with moaning, wincing & yelling in pain, as well as my partner (which I've been with for almost 19 years & they are incredible) hurling cruel insults at me. He never does it outright but if you watch the both of them you can see all the ways he shades Amber. The whole cancer thing could also be a tip to her. That being said she does kinda deserve to have someone take her down a peg. She thinks anyone that tries to send her help is a hater and has gained something like 400 pounds on her wight loss journey and doesn't see it as her fault. It's a deep rabbit-hole to dig into. I thought it was more or less confirmed that his videos are feeder fetish videos. Orlin fits the role of the feeder, with Nikocado gaining so much weight that he has to rely on Orlin for basic things and Orlin berates him and makes him feel worthless the whole way. So it was too late to do anything about the surgeons mistake. Im going to live with this pain until the end of my days. Or until it’s discovered how to get rid of nerve pain.

I don't know if you know this, but literally everything that Nick does is a kink from the feeder/weight gain/ballooning community. They tend to harass bigger people without permission but it looks like he went into it and is milking it. Unfortunately I doubt he would lie about having cancer and here is why. Most of the ridiculous sayings he was spouting in this video were from a youtuber named Amberlynn Reid. Her and Nick have a long history and he shades her a lot, during her cancer diagnosis Nick implied she was faking it and how disgusted he was with her. Somehow it was one of the most genuine takes on her attitude I've seen him have. He's lied about a lot of things, but hopefully this is where he's drawing a line. Wishing him a speedy and uncomplicated recovery.

This dude has honestly saved my life. Genuinely. My life fell apart a few years ago, and I used drugs and alcohol to dull the pain. Eventually, I drank too much and was forced to quit. Did enough weed that it stopped having any effect, and had experimented with almost every drug that I was comfortable trying just looking for a way to feel whole again. After many interventions, I got off of the stuff that was killing me, but food was what I replaced it with. For three straight years, I used the worst kinds of food to dull the pain. Eventually I topped out at 540lbs a few months ago and was told by my doctor that I needed to change or else my heart was going to give out. I've been on a regimen of diet and exercise for the last two and a half months or so and so far I'm 50lbs down. These have been some of the hardest weeks of my life. For weeks, I have been living without a vice, and it has been wreaking havoc on my mind. But even before I actually committed to getting back in shape, I knew of this guy, and watched the various videos on him. He was always an example of what I never wanted to be, but as time went on, I realized more and more that this was where I've been going, a never-ending spiral lost in my own delusions until that pain killed me. No matter how painful watching these videos and following the coverage of this guy is, this is what is keeping me on the path. Every day that I have a craving for fast food, or when all I want to do is stuff my face in an attempt to chase away the pain, I know that this is what's waiting for me. I'm confident that soon I'll be back to where I want to be, and it is due in no small part to the coverage of people like this.

As someone with a heel spur, I can tell you they can be extremely painful. Mine is like a rose thorn with the tip pointed up and out from my calcaneus bone. I discovered I had it when one day (ironically while at a hospital, visiting someone) I stumbled and managed to hit the back of my foot against a post. It was the most excruciating pain I’ve felt, and I could barely walk for a few days. I developed a limp that stayed with me for months, and even now, years later, all I have to do is hit the back of my foot against something hard and I feel the same pain as day 1. I am skeptical that Nikocado actually has one and broke it, because he’d be in a hell of a lot more pain then he’s showing-I get chills just imagining my own breaking off. I could be wrong, but personal experience says he’s putting on a show. And bottom line: heel spurs are awful!

20:31 You don't wrap heel spurs, they're treated with splints and orthotic inserts for your shoes. You can also use special night splints that "float" your feet while laying down. I have no clue what his history is, but providers don't do surgery for acute pain from a heel spur. 90% of cases resolve with conservative treatment. Not to mention that he's at high risk of breathing complications if he were to be sedated or put under general anesthesia.
