NOTE for everyone trying to get Platinum Trophy: The 29th diamond is in the final boss fight. You have to collect all fireflies after the first phase and the diamond will spawn. Unfortunately, the game doesn't tell you that this diamond exists making it look like it's a bugged trophy.

Hello. I canr help but notice that bosses have gem keys and letters it seems. But cant seem to find any even while fighting them. I just get the " boss beaten" badge and that's all. Am I missing something? Because seems like that there are collectibles to get but can't seem to find any. Could you clarify whether there are collectibles during boss fights or no ? Thanks

I think that was a good decision since the patch fixed a lot of bugs and with that some of my concern. Some bugs are still there (including 3 trophies on PS5) but overall a great experience. 😁👍

Man, how'd you manage to 100 percent the game so quickly? It's taking me forever to fill out the treasury because they don't give out NEARLY enough of those scrolls needed to buy stuff and it takes forever to build up enough. Not to mention that you're not even guaranteed a new item every time you buy something. Also still flummoxed how they have keys and diamonds in the game, and neither collectable apparently DOES anything. That's so bizarre to me. Who includes collectables in the game and doesn't give them a purpose?

Wow, Nikoderiko looks like it plays like similar to Donkey Kong Country and Crash Bandicoot from what I have seen. Also Nikoderiko and Luna kind of remind me of Crash Bandicoot and Coco Bandicoot. I kinda wish that the cutscenes would take place in a distinct place to make the game a bit more immersive. The introduction did that, but the in-game cutscenes don't. The characters only stand in front of the over world screen and talk to each other, as opposed to these cutscenes taking place in a distinct location. Meanwhile, if you watch a game like Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Rayman 2, or Sonic Adventure, you'll see the characters talking to each other a distinct location such as a palace, a spaceship, a castle, a fortress, etc. It gives the characters more personality and makes the player feel more like they're watching an actual story in a fictional world unfold right before their eyes, as opposed to simply going from level to level and running into some random characters along the way. With that said, so far, Nikoderiko looks pretty nice. It's a very cutesy game, which I can appreciate. The music is pretty nice, but that's about what I expect from a musician as gifted as David Wise. It's good to see a company continue the legacy of DKC's gameplay style. It seems Nintendo's been too busy the last 10 years to create a new DKC game, although, to be fair, I understand that DKC Tropical Freeze sold quite a bit worse than DKC Returns. Anyway, this is a really cool-looking game! Will probably buy it!

Hey question. Assuming you've gotten the Ascetic trophy; what's the best level to play to avoid getting 0 fireflies? I tried the first level with the help of the frog mount, but couldn't complete it because of the caged fireflies at the end to end the level. Another question, assuming you gotten the deathless run trophy; does it count because of death counter? Can quickly restarting before the restart after a death prevent that from the getting the trophy?

So how exactly the dragon chase level is not being sued for plagerism? xD Joking, but I get the INSPIRATION but this is straightup a knock-off. Same enviorment, BOXES that looks basically identical, same vibe, everything. I came here after seeing a screen of that and i thought it was a mod of crash xD Other levels have a STRONG aesthetic insipration to mind over mutants, but that chase... that chase maybe went a bit TOO MUCH guys ahaha other parts of the game look cool. I don't wanna let you think it's an hating comment. It just gave me the Clive n Wrench feeling: some levels were inspired to other medias but with a personal spin. But some other... good lord... would have benefit more personal touch: despite the great work in building em and making them works, felt weird

It's during the final boss stage. You need to collect every fire fly before entering the cannon to the top floor. The Diamond will spawn on top of the block on top of the cannon

The coins you can buy mounts/animal buddies and call on them whenever you want in-stage. The actual pointless items are the keys and diamonds, which doesn't seem to be used for virtually anything, despite being labeled as "currency."

Okay, I have a question regarding the second boss. Is there a way you're supposed to get him to shoot his drill? Because I got past this part, but only after letting myself get hit twice because he wouldn't fire his drill. He just kept pursuing me without once doing that. In order to get past to two stone blocks, I basically had to stand there and let him hit me before he just rammed his drill into them.

This game was awesome but I got the switch version and it needed a update cause the game keeps crashing and I get stuck and softlock its soo bad deftly need update. 😔

Yeah, you can clearly tell it's a great game, but the glitches are absolutely horrible on the Switch version. Cutscenes freeze, bonus stages don't load properly, and the last boss is almost unplayable. Also, from what I can tell, there's no shop in the Switch version either. They need to patch it up, and FAST.

There was a patch today that fixed a lot of the major issues but there's still a few bad ones that need patching. Cutscenes still freeze, you can still get softlocked in a couple spots, clip through floors, there's a level with a collectable that has no collision so you literally cannot get 100%. Apparently the second patch was meant to go up soon as well but submitting anything to Nintendo takes far longer than other systems

Hey BeardBear, what system did you play this on? I played this on the switch, stage crazy cannons and around the first checkpoint where that secret passage is, with the underground cannons, the last one bugs out, shooting me inside the geometry of the ground, with no way out, forcing me to restart..i tried this multiple times, even restarting the switch with no luck 😢

Don't worry- I encountered this bug on the Switch as well. I emailed the developers VEA Games and they assured me they're already aware of the issue and it'll be fixed in the next patch release. In the meantime, although it's annoying, the crystal should save as collected if you restart the level. So assuming you grabbed it before getting stuck, just pause and choose to restart the level and then ignore the crystal when you get back to that bit 🙂
