Only casuals who never watched that finals series claim that they lost because Kobe was selfish, they lost because they were playing a damn good team who caught them at their worst. Defense is 50% of basketball, which also gives an argument for David Robinson, David Robinson is a better scorer and defender than Jokic, Jokic does have playmaking but when someone is a better scorer and defender than you, they’re better. Jokic is overrated because of the obsession of modern day useless stats and ESPN narratives. Put Jokic in that 2004 series, the Pistons are losing it.

Love this team. They are so much fun to watch. After all those years when The Warriors dominated the league at a point that was boring, this year the NBA was well balanced. Many teams were good enough to win the title. To me 2023 season was a great year in terms of fun and competition.

Unfortunate that we had to listen to Mark Jackson and Van Grumpy this finals. Jackson being the fool who did not have Nikola as top 5 for the MVP this season. It would be nice if Jackson used Jokic's real name once during the broadcasts. The "Joker" is cute but that's not his name, and he's not a Hollywood villain. To refuse to ever say his real name is disrespectful -- as was leaving him off the MVP ballot. Mark Jackson and Perkins make me appreciate Charles Barkley and Shaq even more for their perspective on Jokic's skills. Congratulations to the Denver Nuggets as the new NBA champions!

Jokic has the 3 point shooting ability of Steph without having to jump high and he is usually open because the center of the opposing team need to cover the passing lane at the paint. Only if MPJ gets some consistency, Nuggets team will be unstoppable.

Steph is not a good jumper or even that quick as a point guard. Both Steph and Jokic show that skill is more important than anything in making you a great player. MPJ really needs to improve his game as such a highly paid player. Malone had to give extra minutes to Brown and even rookie Braun because MPJ was not doing much.

At his age the only other center in NBA history who has achieved more then Jokic is Kareem Abdul Jabbar(at the same age as Jokic.) So if Jokic continues on this rate he`ll easily be one of the greatest centers of all time(the most stacked position in NBA history)

I think Jokic even didn't trying at NBA finals. I see big difference about his excitement to play when he faced Lakers and heat. When he faced Lakers, he got challenged to beat Davis, he look so passionated. That's why he made some incredible gameplay against Lakers. The opposite when he faced heat, Jokic look like he had 0 excitement to play

Heat won G2 because of refs gifting them 5 points in G2 which was decided by 3 pts. -Butler stepped out of bounds, but it wasn’t called. Heat then scored a 3PT -Adebayo’s goaltending wasn’t called in Q4 for 2 more points. How about all the fouls Heat got away with on Jokic; especially Adebayo? Meanwhile Butler was getting and1 calls even when he wasn’t touched.
