"I love her too much and I don't want to destroy that." Nikolas Cassadine. I think that this scene is important and it explains exactly why Nikolas is more than happy to give Gia anything that she wants or needs later on because he knew that he was breaking her heart to save Lucky and that really did break his heart too. Liz should have known that after Lucky was saved from Helena's brainwashing that he was going to build a life with Gia and that it didn't matter what Gia did or what she wants that Nikolas will be right by her side to help and support Gia. I don't think that Nikolas has ever felt this way about anyone else even Emily.

Lucky Never escaped from Helena. And I don't respect Elizabeth because she said here, if it would save Lucky's life, she would never speak to him again in a heartbeat. But when that moment comes we see that she blames Nikolas. She's never okay with making that sacrifice. But it was okay for Nikolas and Gia to get their hearts broken over and over again right? Shameless and Selfish to the core.

@@Akintobi I think that by the end of this storyline that Nikolas and the Spencer family weren't concerned about Lucky being brainwashed again. I think that Liz really isn't allowed to do much other than be a damsel in distress unless Jonathan Jackson is on GH. Even on GH now, Liz's latest husband Franco has a much better storyline than she does and I think that even in her marriage to Franco she won't let him find happiness in his career choices. I think that Liz's best storylines are with Jonathan Jackson and if he's not there, she's not given much to do and her significant other is generally always given more to than she ever is. Nikolas and Gia actually had a lot in common and they worked perfectly on screen. Ava and Emily look okay with Nikolas on paper but, neither of them ask him about his feelings or concerns and both of them basically ignore his family. Gia didn't ignore his family and got to know Alexis and Kristina and liked and respected both of them. Trina reminds me of Gia because she is kind and reads people well. Liz never knew that Lucky was saved by Gia and never understood what Nikolas and Gia gave up to help both Liz and Lucky.

@@amusicfan25a21 Why do you believe that Lucky's programming went away? Helena was very clear in part 39 that it cannot be reversed. In all honesty, it explains his drinking problem. It explains Lucky all of a sudden becoming a police officer. He's still pretty crazy to this day. Luke and Laura are responsible for Helena's son dying. So she was going to destroy their son Lucky. There was no escape for him. Faison spent a year programming him. Kevin Collins spent a few months a couple of days a week talking about it.

@@Akintobi The writers and the powers that be don't care about Lucky Spencer unless he's being played by Jonathan Jackson and that's what this storyline and any Lucky Spencer storylines after this one showed me and Rebecca\Liz is the one who suffered the most. I think that Jacob Young got attention and a daytime Emmy because he was Luke and Laura's son but that this storyline is really Nikolas and Gia's and a storyline where we see that Nikolas does have a caring but, dysfunctional family and who deals with Nikolas and his family and makes him feel loved and valued as a person not a Prince? Answer. Gia. Everyone else that Nikolas has been in a romantic relationship usually ignores his family as much as possible. Gia doesn't and wanted to share his name proudly. Colton deserved an Emmy award for this storyline.

@Akintobi Not only Nik and Gia, but Elizabeth also asked Nik to turn in Stefan for a crime that Stefan did not even commit (killing Chloe) later on in this story. A couple clips after this, she has the audacity to tell Nik she doesn't want Lucky to doubt his faith in her, so I guess it's okay according to Liz that Nik turn against people he loves, but she doesn't have to make that sacrifice.

Liz annoyed the hell out of me first with the whole he was not really alive/are you sure you saw him. Now we have to tell him. No you do not, just let things be as they are meant to. After insisting he was fine when he was not. Ugh
