After watching this video again I noticed the look on Nikolas's face when Gia is trying to make everyone guess about her big news. When you know that it was Nikolas that set up her getting the magazine cover all a long. His facial expressions become hilarious. SM is such a good actor. I truly enjoyed his version of Nikolas Cassadine.

I think that while Nikolas and Gia don't always see eye to eye with everything that they seem to argue in a mature manner. They really don't stay mad at each other for very long which is really rare on this show and it showed a maturity that Marcus never sees and most people overlook. I always thought that they should have eloped and married which is what they both wanted. Marcus seems to have no real idea about what Helena took from Gia and Nikolas and even after all that Gia still wanted to marry into the Cassadine family.

I love seeing Nikalos up against Taggert. Taggert sent an undercover cop to spy on them in their own home. Entrapment? Not such a good cop. Hmm 🤔

That little smile Nikolas does as he walks away is telling. I think they were trying to do a storyline about Nikolas encouraging Gia to act on her worst impulses? I think that was the storyline they wanted for Gia and her family. Flo and Taggert trying to get Gia to see Nikolas was turning Gia into a spoiled brat. The limitless wealth is corrupting. That is also the same storyline they had with Nikolas and his family. Helena and Stavros told Nikolas over and over how the money and power will start to corrupt him. If the Gia character would have stayed on the show. I can see over time how that character could eventually turn into a Helena type of character. The show was showing the contrast of how different they have become since their days of living on love in their little cottage in the woods. To living in a mansion on a private island with maids and cooks to create to their every need. I will die on the hill that Nikolas and Gia were way more interesting than Nikolas and Emily ever were. I also think Nikolas and Gia's legacy had a few things working against it. The show intentionally tried to demolish the Gia and Nikolas years on the show. To prop up Nem and their out-of-the-blue "great love". (story-wise it would have made more sense if Nikolas and Elizabeth got together due to the show already establishing Nikolas had a crush on Liz before he got with Gia. Nikolas was always way too old for Emily. And to think he was supposedly waiting around for Emily to turn 18 is gross) Plus KZbin fan videos became a thing about a year after the Nia romance and the actors who made them popular left the show. I think Nem benefited a great deal from the KZbin fan vid era, Social media in general... I can name 3 big Nem storylines that originated with Nia. I know the name of the game in soaps is that characters can her tons of great loves over the life of that character. But Nia was an amazing super couple with tons of chemistry and they deserve to be remembered. Thanks for uploading these Nia clips.
