Haha! Gia knew what she was doing walking into Nikolas' room wearing that negligee. Then purposely walking in from him. I love the pause in speech when Nikolas see her in it and when she walks in front him.

Framing Luke for Stephan's murder, protected Nikolas, by putting the killer of Nikolas' father and grandfather behind bars, while Stephan was gone and unable to protect him. Luke threatened Nikolas Casually. He did need to be neutralized while Stefan was away. Look at Part 39. Who does that????? And the fact that Laura just let this man threaten the life of her son on a regular basis, really never set right with me. I've never been able to like Laura Because of that whole Nikolas situation. Yes, she did say something to Luke, but it was very far a few between, and mealy mouthed. Not the stern, full-throated condemnation that should have come from her.

I always thought Liz represented who Nik was afraid of becoming. The man Helena wanted and tried to push him to be: The ruthless guy like Stavros who hated the Spencers. Like he wanted Liz years later because she belonged to Lucky for the same reason Stavros wanted to take Laura from Luke. It was meant to be representative of Nik's unresolved issues with his mom abandoning him. The darker dysfunctional side. GIA, by contrast, was Nikolas rising above the family feud and being his own man. She was different from all the other women in his life like mealy mouthed Liz and Laura. She was direct, and to the point. This also made her different from Helena, who hid behind polite manners with darker intent underneath. Gia showed you her worst side directly and didn't behind anything, which was refreshing to him. Gia was an excellent reader of character too and always knew how to call out Stefan and Helena for their fake politeness, another reason she was great for Nikolas, as well as a great foil to the Cassadine family in general.

@@nianikgia8432 The funny thing is Nikolas was not interested in Elizabeth, at all, on any level, until Lucky died. I think he felt the need to protect Liz on his brother's behalf, and it got muddy emotionally. Or at least that's my take. I think you're right about the writers attempting to draw a parallel, but because Nikolas is so amazing, he did not for fall for the life trap. And as a result, he was rewarded with a True Love. One rooted solidly in natural attraction, trust, respect and admiration. No offense to the LnL fans out there, but Lucky was into Sarah. He didn't like Liz .Elizabeth became friends with Emily to get on Lucky's radar. It didn't work. He only paid attention to her after she was assaulted, and she needed him. Their Bond, was forged out of Trauma. Lucky became her security blanket. That does not sounds like a recipe for a lasting love story. And as we saw, it never worked out between them.

​@@Akintobi It was rather funny to me that Liz tried to downplay what Nia had compared to her and Lucky. What Nia had was much more amazing than their permanent crock. Last I checked, Gia wasn't stringing some other guy along while in a relationship with Nikolas the way Liz did with Lucky and Jason.

@@Akintobi I think that things definitely changed for the better for Lucky and Liz once Jonathan Jackson and it's obvious that Liz is not really on the powers that be's radar when Jonathan Jackson isn't there. Jason needs a woman who can deal with his lifestyle but, Liz could never do that or deal with Nikolas being a Cassadine. Liz in my opinion never really thought about her actions causing negative consequences.
