I found one of these for $10 at goodwill with all the accessories. We were there because my son was asking for a camera so he can take photos when mommy is out taking pictures...but I am not sure I can hand it over to a 4 year old lol

I got this camera and I am very pleased with the picture quality. One thing to notice though is the flash. Sometime it gets on the way when taking photos.

@TheCyiGuy What you need to look at is the audio quality too. This Nikon is not acceptable for making videos so avoid. I have not tried the Sony. Hmmmm, if you can, look for something that takes an external mic, or the Olympus LS-20M which although unconventional in design at least has superb sound.

Would you recommend this cam or the Canon Elph 300? Not taking zoom into consideration. I actually have the s8200, but read that the canon takes pictures just as well and is a whole lot cheaper and smaller.

this is very detailed video and how i got here, i was gonna buy it on littlewoods but before that i searched on youtube and found your review, best review and it feels like i m holding the camera. but little confusion that i want camera just for photography. photography of small objects like, dew drops, butterflies, leaves, insects. do you recommend it. i mean how good is closeup feature of this camera.

Hi there, do you know "photo SFX art" (do a Google search for it)? There you will find a nice free video explaining how you can create better photographs. It helped Matt to shoot photographs that leave you with a wow-effect after you look at them. It might help you out too...
