This is the first video of yours that I have viewed. Excellent information, very useful. One critique however in your delivery...use your hands more in your delivery. When you keep your arms at your side the entire video and do not use your hands at all, it makes you look like a bobblehead and it's pretty distracting.

I never tell people what to do, but when asked, I recommend SRGB versus Adobe, as using Adobe creates more of a technical exercise to avoid dull looking photos.

Very little. Technically there is more detail in jpeg fine, but the difference is quite subtle. jpeg normal file sizes are smaller, though.

If the camera is in "Auto" mode, you may not have this option. Try selecting "P" on the top dial.

Thank you for creating this very informative walk through. Nikon should recommend it for new users of the D600 and 610. I will be sure to watch your other videos as well. --- New Nikon 610 User

Hello! Nice video, but I'd like to offer a couple corrections. You claim that when selecting the RAW+JPEG option the user, "will be writing both files to your primary card," and that "this is separate from what we just talked about regarding backing up to a second card." This is a little misleading. These things are actually not separate at all, they're directly related. Your statement about both files writing to a single card is only true when shooting in either the Overflow or Backup mode. When using the RAW(Slot 1)+JPEG(Slot 2) option, the RAW and JPEG files will be split in just this way, RAW on card 1 and JPEG on card 2. You will not have RAW and JPEG files on the same card unless you've selected Overflow or Backup. Maybe that's what you meant and I just misinterpreted. Also, you should point out that Image Size ONLY affects the JPEG files, it will not change the RAW files. In fact if you choose to shoot only RAW files you'll notice the Image Size menu is grayed out and unavailable. Otherwise a very helpful and informative video. Thanks for sharing.
