My viewfinder isn’t broken but I lost the screw that holds the viewfinder in. Any ideas on what thread screw that is?

Very nice. My viewfinder cover and my rubber eyepiece have fallen off my D810. Do you know if the replacement eyepiece comes with the glass viewfinder cover (the metal-rimmed glass that you screw in)? Thanks

There are a few options. For the regular non-magnifying one it will come with the standard rubber ring ebay.to/2XIrUn2. I prefer no hood and no rubber to minimize it catching on something in my bag. If you just want the rubber hood ebay.to/2KahtFI. If you'd like 1.2X magnification ebay.to/2KIn1qb. The magnifying version sticks out a bit. Then there's a new one with a fluorine coating ebay.to/2MFgxuP. And one for farsighted vision ebay.to/2MFgXRV.

Did this broken viewfinder affect you viewfinder display, like flickering display and or flickering focus points ? especially while holding down the focus mode selection button ?
@tinkerist33115 жыл бұрын
That sounds like a deeper electronic problem. I haven't experienced that issue before.

Yup, same problem. Same spot. Same reason.

My d500 has a break in the same spot but i can't seem to get it to come off after removing the screw .. I just dont want to pull too hard and cause more damage if its not the same as this. It seems like there is another screw holding it in place. Do u know if the 500 is any different ?
@tinkerist33115 жыл бұрын
I'm not familiar enough with the construction of the D500, but the skeleton is very different from the D810.

can I resurrect this post and ask how did you get the viewfinder frame off? I too took the one top screw out and am having problems removing it entirely.

Got same problem, tried to find a way to do it as well, but looks like you need to actually remove the whole back panel first, see this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIGxi3dvn6-hl5o Guess I'll have to take it to a repair shop after all, no way I'm opening the whole back side just for that.

I need one of those for my D700 none anywhere trying to find out if this is d700 friendly
@tinkerist33113 жыл бұрын
The steps could possibly be similar. At a glance the D700 has two visible screws instead of one. The biggest challenge would be sourcing a new part.

@@tinkerist3311 The D700 has one screw top middle but the config is different saw 1 for sale in Argentina thanks looking again 2:22 it might be the same part what part number did you order please.

What screwdriver set did you use. I would think that is a specialized tool
@tinkerist33114 жыл бұрын
It's just a small phillips screwdriver. Nothing special, available anywhere Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart, etc.

My camera Nikon d5300 viewfinder showing blur view but the result I get is perfect.... What should I do???
@tinkerist33114 жыл бұрын
A simple diopter adjustment should get you back to focus. It's the little knob with + - to the upper right of the viewfinder.

This is the part for the D850 (tinyurl.com/yy8ojlo4). The steps are different.

Unfortunately this ink for D850 doesn’t work... I got the replace part, but I don’t know the steps, once I had removed the two tiny screws...

I have three camereas, all cracked near the screw, low quality.
