one other benefit of this pack, is that it rotates the battery access doors 90 degrees, so you CAN access a 'dead' battery while the unit is still on a tripod!, it doesn't interfere with any tripod plates either, PLUS this system, the Z6 as well has a hole for an anti-rotation pin, as found on some tripod plates (gitzo, manfrotto).

Just put one on my Z6! Love that its a metal construction. Tip, there's a space where you can store the battery flap on the grip itself so you won't lose it.

Sorry it took so long for me to reply. Thanks for watching video. I love the grip and it is really nice to put the flap on battery back for storage. Because I mom definitely would probably loose it.

nice review, have a z6, nice accessory, BUT you forgot to store the body's battery door inside the grip ( cavity in the tower that enters the camera, faces away from the bulk of the pack), this is one gripe I have with these things, where people end up loosing these covers, so defeating the weather sealing of the camera :-( ; this is NOT being offensive to you directly, just one annoyance worth noting, and saying to people. This also allows for the probability of bending the battery pins, or getting dirt, etc. inside the compartment and contaminating the contacts!

I really wish you didn't have to pop off the battery door every time. You don't have to do that with the Panasonic battery grip I use. It just creates an opportunity to break something that I don't think is super strong to begin with. In fact, the battery door to my Nikon MB-N10 just broke when trying to open it. I hope they sell replacements.

I have my battery pack arriving today for my Z7. this is exactly what I needed to watch....for me coming from the d850, the z7 feels small and less stable, and my pinky finger is on the air...I hope the battery pack solves that..

I got 1 for the Nikon D5600. Unfortunately when 1 battery is drained, the second 1 doesn't kick in. Any idea why? The 2 batteries are different amps and brands (1030mAh vs 1500 mAh). Any idea if that could be the problem?

You may need to do a firmware update on your camera. And I try to use the mAH batteries together. Try both these ideas and let me know. But thanks for watching.

It more then likely will. But it will block the side battery door.

If you had actually tried to change batteries in the manner you showed here…in the real world, you’d have wrecked your shot/video. You actually probably would’ve knocked your tripod and camera to the ground. Your movements are extreme and too fast or rough. But I guess you’re new to the grip? Anyways hopefully you’ll figure out how to get the batteries out without completely moving the setup from side to side, up and down. The MB-N10 is absolutely better than nothing, but I do wish it was a full grip. I’m used to using the D5/D6 and D850 with grip kit. It’s not the same, but at least it’s well made, it does give your pinky finger more room and it takes multiple batteries at once, with hot-swap capability. The fact that you can also take the grip off and use it as a dual battery charger, while you shoot with a third battery in the camera. I hardly ever use both batteries, in fact I never have, now that I think about it. However this feature of being able to keep shooting while charging batteries is smart. Especially if you shoot video, that’s a cool feature! Thanks for the video, I came looking for advice on how to remove the Z7’s battery door. It’s not easy to do, Canon is smart enough to include a locking lever type release on their battery door hinges. So that you don’t snap off the tabs that hold it in place. Sucks Nikon cheap’d out and didn’t do the same. I thought for sure I was going to break those round tabs, I pulled hard and while wiggling it side to side, lol.
