Nikon V1 vs V2 vs V3 low light autofocus (18.5 prime, no assist light)

On the low light focus tests why was the live view on the V1 so much nicer looking than on the V2 and V3 which looked horrible? I am very interested in the V3, I have the V1 and have loved this camera because its raw files have a very analog/film look. I am hoping the V3 will provide higher resolution but without the loss of that classic analog/film look the V1 has. You can see that classic analog V1 look here: www.flickr.com/photos/54171644@N07/

... those photos are taken with the Nikon 1 V3 haha so if you like that look then get the V3 that analog film look that you are looking for is achieved with post prod mostly... Cheers from France

AF lock on on V2 vs V1 is impressive in low light. I love my V1 but that does make me want a V2 as well (I'll never sell the V1!)

Hi Carmen Clark I own both the V1 and V2. The V2s AF lock is impressive but the best part is its design, it really feels great in the hand. The buttons and controls are really where they should. It makes it very easy to adjust the settings without taking your eye of the EVF. When shooting the system feels very fast... a joy! The V1 experience is wonderful as well, but it has a different charm. I am interested in trying out the V3 although I doubt I buy it because of the price. l'll also will never sell my V1!

Wow... you can really see the difference between the V1 and the V2. But the AF speed between the V3 and V2 is almost the same.

hye.. i love photography hardwares, am not good at photo composing .. so hv cameras but NO photos - i hv 2x V1's n 1x V2 .. love the built-in viewfinders. i consider these cameras professional Point+Shoot .. they will die in my hands
