Great vid! Almost bought this setup, but ended up splurging for the z8

Thanks! How do you find the Z8? I'm very curious to try it out

The z8 being on sale all the time makes it a no brainer. The z8 in my opinion remains the best value purchase of any camera system on the market despite it being almost two years old now.

Seeing you in camouflage made me happy. I am a Nikon Z8 shooter and Nikon’s telephoto lens lineup is excellent . Hope you have the opportunity to test the 400 mm F/4.5 and the 600 mm f6.3 primes. Thank you for the video.

I hope I'll be able to test those lenses, and the Z8. I'm so curious

Luca, great photos and great review, as always! I’ve commented on here before that I sold all my Fuji gear and got a Sony A7IV. I got that like 3 weeks before the Z6iii came out, if it was out by then, I’d probably have gotten the Z6iii instead (I still love my A7IV though!). I really like what Nikon has been doing in the last couple years, the Z8 looks amazing, and the price is so much better than the A1. The Nikon ZF is very cool, and this Z6iii looks incredible as well! Plus now you can use the Megadap Pro to convert your E mount glass to Z mount, that’s really cool. Some of the Z glass is great too as you mentioned! The 24-120 F4, the 600mm and 800mm f6.3 lenses, this 180-600mm, etc. If they just let sigma bring some of their lenses they’d be elite!

Thanks! Nikon has caught up to the competition, I'd love to try the Z8 as It looks fantastic for wildlife. I'll review the 24-120 soon, but I can already confirm it's a marvellous lens

Would be great to hear how you feel the Z 180-600mm compare to the Xf 150-600mm

Optically they are both beautiful. The weight is a pound less with the fuji, and you can definitely feel it when you handle it, but the Nikon is brighter by 2/3 of a stop. If you shoot on a tripod most of the time, the weight isn't going to be an issue. On the other hand the Fuji is equivalent to 225-900 so it gets you more reach. And if you want the same reach on the Nikon you'd have to put a 1.4 teleconverter and at that point the Nikon would become a 840mm f9. The advantage may be on the tracking, but I haven't tried the X-H2s with the latest firmware with wildlife yet

@@LucaPetraliaPhotography You could just crop but the little issue with Z6III is that the DX mode offers just around 10mpx and a poor DR ( the Z8 DX is much better in that regard ) On the other hand, 10mpx that's also what's left once the 2x digital crop is applied on the XH2/XT5/XT50 reaching an awesome 1800mm equivalent. I'd like to see a video comparison :)

Buongiorno Luca.

I haven't tried this lens on my Z6iii yet. Despite being 24MP it might offer better low light performance than the Z8.

I don't know if it's better, but it's definitely great in low light

Quite disappointing, this lens. Too heavy. Rather uncomfortable when used for many hours. Hit rate lower than expected (Z8). IQ is okay. Coming from XH2s + 150-600mm.

That sounds weird to me, and I'm really curious to try the Z8 myself
