The tip about setting the function button to toggle on/off the focus tracking is amazing! Thanks so much for this Kelly - along with back button focus and AFC this is the perfect setup for me. I was using the OK button to reset the "point" to the centre and it wasn't very convenient at all. Cheers from England!

Nice explanation ! I'll try the auto area with subject tracking in my concert photography. It 's some like back button focus... ?

BBF is how I focus. It’s a separate thing from subject tracking mode, but they def work well together.

I would try wide area small, with appropriate aperture. Or Subject tracking if the dancers are not running around. Set aperture wide to isolate the subject, or small to get all dancers in subject.
