Dope video man! Thanks! What I would really want to see from KZbinrs is real case studies, like for exaple, have you seen those promo videos Nikon did for the Z6III, Z8 etc? That kind of stuff. I know it takes a lot of work and editing but something like that would be exciting to see, either videos or photos, and also maybe explaining if you had any issues and/or if everything went great, that way we can all see the true power of these cameras and gear. But love your narration style man, keep up the good work.

No prob! And have you heard rumors about a Z7iii?
@enricojakobsoriano5 ай бұрын
@@itscinemasam Not really. Have you? I’m going off the assumption from previous release cycles. The Z6 and Z7 were both announced in September of 2018. The Z6II and Z7II were both announced in October of 2020. I believe the Z7III can’t be too far behind. I think Nikon made a smarter marketing move by staggering the release dates of these cameras. If the Z6III made this much of a splash, I imagine the Z7III is going to be a pretty nice piece of kit, possibly bordering on cannibalizing sales from the Z8. That is, until they release the Z8II or whatever the successor is.

I am getting too much noise in the videos. Is there any way to avoid it ?
@itscinemasam5 ай бұрын
Yes either using davinci Denoiser, or just shoot in conditions that help you expose correctly. Or you can shoot in SDR rather than analog which already has denoiser built in

Thanks for doing this man! The low light is the only thing that is keeping me from saving up for a fx6 or fx3. Is it possible to do a low light comparison with the a7s iii in high iso's? Im very curious about the dynamic range of this camera and the noise in high iso's.
@itscinemasam5 ай бұрын
The A7siii is great in low light for sure! But yes I will test dynamic range as well
@m0nztam0nk5 ай бұрын
Ive shot very, very low light a lot over 4 years, and yes, its amazing, but also impractical. Unless its extreme lowlight, iso 12800 was often too high, and much more importantly, the colour quality SUFFERED…i always struggled to understand, why my best club/dancing shots came from the blackmagic years before, and now i know: internal Raw just renders colours in the shade 10 times better…it just looks soo much better in comparison…yes, its noisier too and i need to apply some noise reduction in some shots, but the 10bit codec compression loses a TON of colour in dark shots, and i having shot both a7s3 and z63 in ultralowlight i much prefer the results of the nikon…

New follower. Loving your videos. I am on the fence about getting an Sony A7C II and this...I am leaning towards the Nikon as I really want this to shoot my sons hockey games and the 4K60 no crop looks solid.
@itscinemasam5 ай бұрын
I have used the A74 which is basically a bigger A7cii and I’ll honestly say you’ll enjoy the Nikon z6 3 better because of all the Codec options. Also I hate they the A7cii crops at 60fps 😷 and it’s so much quicker to switch from photo to video on the z6iii

Bruhh its just so lear cam A is sony, im just wondering is it a DR difference? is sony more into shadows and nikon on highlights ? im currently on nikon z6ii and i think nikon feels too harsh with colours. Keep doing those vides btw love them ! Can you actually try to get nikon image look like sony just to see if its a matter of preference or matter of possibilities
@itscinemasam5 ай бұрын
I noticed that it’s super easy to push Nikons colors but Sony is harder to push the colors. When I turned the saturation up to 150 the Sony still seemed to stay the same. And yes if you use ProRes raw on the Nikon you can easily convert it to Sony S Log 3 in premiere with one click
@itscinemasam5 ай бұрын
When shooting in ProRes raw one, the Nikon 📸 you can convert it to whatever log profile you want in Premier.
@nigerian-nightmare5 ай бұрын
@@itscinemasam, you need to switch to Davinci for color grading unless you shoot prores raw a lot.

Nice video. Thanks for doing these tests with the Z6 III. ISO 6400 was too high to shoot at f1.8 - 2.5, to get a good exposure, stopping down more would yield better results. ISO 2500 would be a good mid ground for these night test with street lights, to provide a more natural look to the scene.
@nigerian-nightmare5 ай бұрын
Iso 2500 is more noisier than 6400. Stopping down the lens would be better.
@waynerm0025 ай бұрын
@@nigerian-nightmare True however, that can be resolved by noise reduction as well, having dual base ISO doesn’t limit one to only using the 2.

As a travel videographer... Light is a luxury. I'm not carrying studio lights around.
@itscinemasam5 ай бұрын
Well this camera probably isn’t for you, you need a camera that doesn’t need much light. The Sony FX3 and A7siii is perfect for low light scenarios!
@waynerm0025 ай бұрын
The Z6 III will be fine in low light scenarios, when exposed correctly. This test is just at ISO 800 and 6400, which offers lower noise from the outset however, you can record at higher or lower ISO (preferably in RAW) to expose the scene correctly and clean up any noise in post. If you record in SDR, the camera will apply some NR. The Z6 and Z6 II have very good low light performance, with the Z6 III also continuing that performance. I have owned both and the results have been great. I also used the FX30 (which I still have) and A7R V and for scenes like these, I didn't have to go beyond ISO 2500, while use f4 (16-35 and 24-105 OSS) lens. I recently tested the Z8 in dark conditions (ISO 25,600 in some) at 8.3K NRAW (posted on my channel, with a 2nd video of the NR process), I was able to clean up the noise in Resolve. Sony cameras have noise reduction applied in camera (which you can't turn off) prior to post processing to recover shadows, Nikon doesn't do that, which is why you notice more noise in the RAW footage and you will need to apply more NR in post to clean things up. The Z6 III goes up to ISO 51200 in video, not that you should be shooting there for projects but, you can certainly test it to see what it can do and how it ends up in post with NR. I won't get my Z6 III until late next month, may Sam can do some tests and post for the community.
