Nikon Z6III in Kaziranga, India | Field Test | Wildlife Photography & Videography

As many of you know, I was part of the initial campaign for the launch of the New Nikon Z6III. I've extensively used this camera in a variety of landscapes and conditions, from wetlands to grassy fields, low-light environments to scorching summer days exceeding 40°C.
The video you're about to watch reflects my firsthand experience with the Z6III. It was entirely shot at Kaziranga National Park, India, featuring wildlife footage captured with the new Nikon Z6III paired with the NIKKOR Z 180-600MM F/5.6-6.3 VR and NIKKOR Z 600MM F/6.3 VR S lens. Behind-the-scenes footage was shot using the Nikon Z8 with the Nikkor Z 20mm f/1.8 S and Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.8 S lenses. The footage has been processed to achieve the desired visual results.

180-600 or 600mm f 6.3 which is better for Birds photography. I have using Z8 with old 300mm f4+TC.Need to buy a lens.. Which is better?

If I talk about image quality and focusing ability both the lens have excellent performance. It’s hard to distinguish. But one thing you would notice that Nikkor 600mm f 6.3 lens is significantly lighter and smaller. On the other hand Nikkor 180-600 f5.6-6.3 lens has versatility of all the focal lengths. Now it’s upto you. But quality wise both are almost the same. No issues at all. But as you know prime is prime, so if the budget permits, then go for 600mm f6.3 .

Yo, great video. Quick question, how are you able to record the audio of say, the birds flying with such high quality without introducing background noise from the surroundings in the audio?

Used shotgun mic, to record the audio, they are normally unidirectional mics which helps me record audio coming from a single direction. Though they have captured some noise, it is corrected in post.

Perhaps higher pixel count is reserved for Z7III. It's just marketing strategy in which they are trying to fit bodies for every budget group.

I have not tried that, but one thing I would say that try to have Z mount lenses if possible. They are the most compatible with Z system bodies.

The elephant section of the video, was shoot at bright day light and high temperature. Bright day light cause harsh shadows which and blown out highlights which are hard to recover. If you do like that section of the video then it's all good. People compare specification sheets and may form opinion, but I have not faced any such issues.
