I have been trial and error with HDR ever since I purchased a Nikon D780 last year (2023) in May. I have bought a Blackmagic Decklink to color correct using my Samsung OLED HDR TV. It has been frustrating to color correct HDR and almost gave up. Last week I was Googling workflows for Log footage and creating HDR footage using Premiere Pro. Every time it looked so good on the OLED TV but once uploaded to KZbin, it was over saturated, and my highlights were too bright. After researching issues, I found that the Blackmagic Decklink has an update stating now outputs HDR using Premiere Pro. After reading that, I realize I been attempting to color correct for HDR and it wasn't even HDR feeding to my OLED. Once updating the Decklink, the footage looks 500% better. With that said, I have started all over with my trial and error, to come up with a new workflow. This video here is my first test and comments will be highly appreciated. Once I have a rock-solid workflow, I am more than likely going to make a complete video of my workflow of HDR footage. I have recently purchased an addition to my camera collection is a Nikon Z8. So here it is, and you are more than likely going to see more test shots using N-Log converted to HDR HLG videos. Crossing fingers here
