Nikon Z9 VS Canon EOS R3 - Which One You Should Buy

Z9 was the clear choice for me as an "all arounder". Plus the Z lenses are all outstanding; however their PF long FL lenses are amazing for wildlife shooting.

Pretty simple really, if you have Canon go for flagship R3, Nikon go for flagship Z9, Sony go for A1.

both can do 8k but the R3 can only do 8k 30p where as the Z9 can do 8k 60p(you have the option of slowmo which is a very important feature when doing videos)

@@VIDEOVISTAVIEW2020 R5 can do 8K, R3 lower sensor resolution (love the camera and curvyness) can I think do up to 4K 120 FPS, Canon R5 can do 8K 30 fps and new R5 c Video camera can do 8K 60 fps without any overheating issues

The z9 has a bsi stacked sensor and a faster readout than the r3, that’s why it doesn’t have a shutter.

Which one is better in low light photography? I care more about shadow details if I were to switch to another system. Currently on the sideline with my D810.

@2:07 not 40fps but 8k 24/30fps at the moment and will have 60fps option with future firmware update. and battery rating for both cameras are not accurate. these cameras can shoot way more then 700 shots per charge.

"Aimed toward the same group of customers" (Not sure this premise is exactly correct). I'm all for competition and hope all companies prosper. I have friends that shoot "competing" brands to my current choice (Nikon). Canon shooters either went R5 a year ago or some R3 now (talking about my friends). It appears from the outside looking in that Nikon has really helped Canon box itself in a corner for the R1 (if that camera comes out next year). With the high resolution R5 at 3900 USD and the lower resolution, better AF "flagship" R3 coming in $500 USD over the Z9 at $6000, what features and price point will the R1 have? If Canon shooters have already chosen, will they add another very expensive camera to the bag? I really don't know. Will the R1 have 36 megapixels with 40 fps? and can Canon really give it a price over or under the R3? Time will tell. It's an interesting time in the mirrorless world. Anyone for R1 being medium format? ...I didn't think so. (There is also a lot of inaccurate information that isn't qualified in this video).

I chose R3 because both cameras are very good, but the choice of the camera is for the purpose of shooting. It is a comprehensive factor, not just a simple parameter comparison. Because Canon's lens group now has a wider range of options. 我选R3，两个相机都十分的优秀，但是选择相机是为了拍摄的使用，是一个综合因素，不只是简单的参数对比。 因为佳能的镜头群现在选择的范围更广。

@@MehdiRF On the contrary, it’s awesome, I carry my specifically picked Sony camera and lens and it weighs nothing. Add a MacBook Air to it, so much more edificientthan the canon branded weights.

None of those, the Alpha 1 it is! With the new firmware update outperforms the r3 and at 50 megapixels. The z9 AF is not on par with Sony and Canon flagships yet as seen in Jared's latest video.

the Z9 seems to me to have a better processor than the A1, it will just a take a firmware upgrade to equal or even surpass the A1 AF performance.
