These guys are better hangers then finishers. They did a great job hanging. But that’s what the majority of them are. You can tell someone started off as a hanger then slowly learned the taping tools. But in all reality I speak on the behalf of many drywall contractors we know the difference. I would not hire them to finish any of my jobs. Plus just doing a level 3 finish is not enough for a smooth wall. Level 3 is good for texture jobs. But if you’re going to do a smooth wall have a level 4 finish. That means widen out your butt joints And skim coat walls near windows. I’m just a better drywall contractor. But hey it works for them. They hang fast so that you don’t have to pay attention to their finishing skills. But I bet that electric sander is their best friend. I still don’t know why I saw one guy wipe the guys joint down after he ran the 12 inch box on the ceiling… Wasn’t even feathering it out he was literally just skimming it off….

I am surprised that the butts weren’t blown out more and it looks like they only hit the flats with a 10. The only criticism I have on their hanging is something that I have seen many Mexican crews do and just don’t understand….the unnecessary belly bands….why? They are quick and clean other than that 1 thing. Not hard to hang that house with a crew that size in a day though. Hard to feed that many mouths off of 1 house.

Let me explain what they did here , sanded the first coat possibly using 180, didnt skim everything but as you can see the middle where the possible fish ayes take place corne eveads only in the edge , and all angles , nails … not a full skim coat sorry
