Niladri Kumar with Gino Banks, very cool 😎 👌. I love it, two wonderful musicians together. The electric zitar is perfect with tabla and a drum kit. Gino is the son of the great Louis Banks. Keyboard player, composer; one of the pioneers in jazz and Indian music coming together. To create new vistas in musical possibilities. This is fantastic. Niladri is incredible. zitar sounds maybe too middle and it gets saturated when he plucks the strings more strongly. overall the melodic line is beautiful with the keyboard doing the harmony, fitting well. drums and tabla getting along good also. rhythmic construction is also rich and surprising. The zitar sounds insane with overdrive effect. I remembers his Benares concert in 2010 I was blown away !!! he is like the Steve Vai of Indiana music. ;)

The best part I think is when he lures you into a dreamy state and then suddenly throws you into the bhajan "Raghupati Raghav ..". Zitar is the Indian version of Electric Guitar. Even Gino Banks cannot match up with his speed. Our repository is full of gems. We are unaware of them .

Actually niladri sir always tries to mix western for new result... Its fusion ...somewhere the drummer was not linked with the rhythm thats y it was sounding diff to you otherwise its a nice fusion

Sorry - the Zitar doesn't produce the same sound as a sitar, don't care for it, it's a turnoff. This fusion concept doesn't work. Have heard him play a regular sitar & he is good at it.
