As someone just getting started on the Hindustani Classical music journey with the Sitar, a lot of his answers don't directly answer her qns, but I definitely agree with his answers. Because with regards to this type of music, it's impossible to predict anything. My teacher has told me to never fixate myself on one idea of a concept, to be always fluid with it. A Raag in and of itself is not a composition, nor is it just a scale. It's a way to depict emotions and intentions. Raag Bhairavi for example, is a very serious toned Raag which is very meditative and aligns itself the process of giving something meaningful, hence many Bhajans are composed in this raag. Hence, any serious classical musician would tell you the same when asked about their favourite Raag: They're all my fav. It's a beautiful balance between improvisation and familiarity, and that is what makes Hindustani Classical music a very special entity in the wide field of music. But this is just my opinion on it

I mean, you can't expect everyone to understand classical music like you do, right Guruji? I do agree that her questions could be better researched, but did you know he supported a restaurant called "Zitar" which was host to a number of live performances? So he's a gastronome too!
