George Kollias is arguably the best in the blaster beat technique. The Nile is distinguished by the tone set in Egyptian mythology, with a creative sound technical without losing the brutality of death metal.
@orlandocitterio1776 жыл бұрын
mmh kollias is an excellent drummer but try some archspire or origin, fucking mindblowing, not only blast beats but rythms and totally insane things done at over 250 bpm.

Mate, read the liner notes to this song from the special edition if you can find it somewhere. The lyrics and meaning behind them makes this song even fucking heavier and collossal than it is, and that's a ridiculous thing indeed.

in my opinion this is easily the greatest death metal song of all time. it has everything you could possibly want. soft opening, multiple heavy ass breakdowns, amazing solos, incredible lyrics and message, and its10 fucking minutes long. this is the most epic shit I have ever heard in my entire life.

was always a favorite of mine.. and apparently several people feel the same way. the opening really sets the theme for the entire band really. i listen to it on a really hot day while driving.. and im stuck in traffic.. i pretend like im floating down the nile. then the metal kicks in and its like im riding a badass motorcycle through egypt..

@ChuckSchuldinerRIP0 Me too. No one said you gotta change. Oh, there are so many songs out there. But iPods just aren't built to store that many. Even the 160GB is pretty fuckin small compared to the volume of metal out there. I'm pretty poor too actually. That's why I like Vuze and the library.

@Aaronduhmoron It's not about 300bpm, are you crazy? Nile's fastest song is kafir, at 280 bpm. This song is really fast like a lot of their songs, but don't push it. And 240 bpm is respectable, even if George is faster it's still extremly fast...

@lokust9ine Oh hell yeah. There's an insane amount of awesome metal bands out there. Unfortunately there are also plenty shitty bands out there too. And I was commenting on an Iron Maiden video that we need more metal bands. I dunno... iPod's don't have that much space. The iPod Classic's 160 gbs and wow, even that couldn't hold every metal song there is. Haha yep! You'd never have enough time to listen to that. I have over 2200 songs and about 36gbs free. Photos take up ALOT of space.
@crofold13 жыл бұрын
@ChuckSchuldinerRIP0 Dude... I posted that 4 months ago... I love metal, and when I listen to metal, I listen to alot of metal. 64GBs isn't enough space. That's what I was sayin. Ah. No, I don't use Frostwire or Limewire. I prefer Vuze, which is like the same thing. But how fast it downloads is dependent on how many seeds the file has. With Bittorrent you can force download, that's sweet. I'm on a budget. But I also take out music from the library.

@ChuckSchuldinerRIP0 Meh, to each his own. So far I'm making do with my iPod. Actually, I am talking about a public library. @MrMacD06914 жыл бұрын
@Zachdudeio2 I agree, they do have massive skill , and you don't always have to be brutal....infact thats where i feel lots of bands go wrong, they all try to "out brutalize" each other. They forget what they are playing music for. Of course you have competition in music, you must compete. But when you focus so hard on keeping up with the times, keeping up with the bands in front of you, the competition, and not enough on the music itself you can really hear the lack of soul.
